I opened my eyes to an annoying beeping machine. Firstly, I took in my surroundings and panicked.

I was in a hospital.

Why?

Then, last night images flashed in my head. The party, car, crash and the tree.

Alexa..

Coming back to the reality, I quickly climbed off of the bed, only to be stopped by a nurse.

"You can't leave the bed yet, sir. We need to take a few tests and might ask you a few questions if needed." She said.

"Fucking hell with questions!! I need to know where my girlfriend is!?!" I yelled at her. She was startled my reaction indeed.

The doctor came rushing in and took a good look around.

"Calm down, boy. Your girlfriend is fine and is munching on her chocolates." He said. I frowned

but was relieved that my girl was fine. "How are you feeling?"

"Worried?" I asked. He rolled his eyes.

"I meant, do you feel any pain or sort of something?"

"Yeah, actually. I feel a little pain in my right hand." I tell him.

He did all the other check ups and finally let me go.

"Can I see her now?" I asked. He nodded and led me to the room were Alexa was.

When I entered, I saw her sleeping on the bed. There was a small cut on her forehead and a few cuts on her arms. I felt guilty.

Guilty for not listening to her and driving on my own.

Guilty for hurting her.

Guilty for putting her in this situation.

It's all my fault.

My eyes opened to some shuffling around the room. I didn't realize that I slept on the chair I was sitting in.

"Who are you?" Said a small voice. Panic rose into me again as I heard my Cupcake say those words.

She was sitting on the bed, looking at me with confusion in her eyes.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

"Do I know you?" She frowned.

"You don't remember me?" I asked in a whisper. She looked me dead in the eye before.... Bursting in laughter.

"Y-you s-should have s-seen y-your f-face!" She said between laughs. I took the whole situation in before sighing and scoffing.

"Fuck!!" I cursed before crashing my lips on hers. She smiled into the kiss as she kissed me back.

"I hate you for what you did to me." I stated. She rolled her eyes yet smiled.

"Oh no, you don't. You love me." She grinned. I smiled.

"That I do. I love you." I pulled her in for another kiss. She was stunned with my statement. She didn't even kiss me back.

"Really?" She asked in a whisper. I nodded, pecking her forehead. She smiled and pulled my face to hers. "I love you too."

We kissed for a while until the door opened and a nurse walked in. She smiled looking at us.

"You two will get discharged tomorrow morning. You might wanna inform your parents though." She said.

We both looked at each other with our eyes widened.

"Shit!" We both said as we reached to grab our phones and call our parents.

....

Alexa and I were sitting on the bed together, drinking soup.

The door opened and a officer walked in.

"Ms Parker and Mr Colton? I'm officer Harrison." He asked. We both nodded. I felt Alexa gripping

my shirt in her fist. I placed a comforting hand on her back smiled, reassuringly.

"I heard you both got in an accident?" We nodded again. "You will have to answer a few

questions my dear. According to the people who witnessed the scene, the car from opposite

direction was coming to hit yours but you turned and bumped into the tree nearby." "Sure." I answered.

"Thank you. From where were you coming from that yesterday night?" He asked.

"A friend's house." I said, keeping my answers short and simple.

"Who was driving?"

"Me."

"Were you drunk?" He raised his eyebrows.

"A little. But not above the limit." I answered.

"Hmm. Did you see anyone sitting inside the car?"

"No, it was dark already." He hummed.

"Well, Mr Colton and Ms Parker, you may have to pay the fine for underage drinking. Whereas for

the car, I'll let you know if I get something." He said and took his leave.

....

It was midnight when I woke up to go to the washroom. I slowly pulled back from Alexa's grip, not wanting to wake her up and walked to the restroom.

After I did my business, I walked back to the room. I heard some muffled voices coming from in there and I hurried.

I was shocked to see a black figure near Alexa, pressing something on her face.

I quickly turned the lights on and grabbed that someone by neck, pulling him away from her.

After some struggling and shuffles, a few nurses and doctors came in and helped me in handling

the person. While the doctors were holding him down, I rushed to Alexa's side and tried to wake her up. "Hey baby. Wake up, sweetheart."

But she didn't.

"Help! She's isn't waking up!" I said. Another doctor came near her and checked her pulse and heart rate.

"That's weird." He mumbled.

"Doctor, we found this bottle from his pocket." A nurse said. Eyeing the bottle, the doctor sighed. "Looks like she has smelt some chloroform. Don't worry, she'll wake up in a few hours." He assured. I nodded and sighed in relief. "Call officer Harrison and tell him to come here ASAP." The nurse nodded and walked off.

I came to that person and pulled off his ask.

Little did I know it would be a 'she'.

"PENELOPE!?!"
