Chapter 14
New Moon - Austyn-Rose
“You will confess to your crimes. You will tell every single pack what you did.” I growled the words, my hands clenched into fists as the fury began to consume me.
The Elders looked at each other and fear finally clouded their smug expressions. They felt themselves submitting to my demands, unable to fight off Evie’s Luna command. They said nothing.
“How will we spread the word?” Alpha August asked quietly.
“I can.” I said suddenly. I had no idea where the thought came from, but all of the sudden, I knew I could do it.
“How?” Alpha Noah cocked his head to the side curiously.
“Austyn?” Leo touched my arm, watching me carefully.
“I can mindlink everyone at the sametime.” I replied.
“What do you mean?” Alpha Knox looked at me like I was crazy.
“I can mindlink every single werewolf.” I said again, “At once.”
“How do you know?” Leo asked.
“I’m not sure, I just know that I can.” I shrugged, biting my bottom lip nervously.
“That’s not possible.” Alpha Fox shook his head.
“All of this is impossible. Your Luna just shook the entire freaking room!” Alpha Noah rolled his eyes at Fox’s statement. Alpha Fox clamped his mouth shut, staying quiet.
“I’ll tell them all what we have discovered and which packs are involved. Then, I’ll have the Elders confess over the mindlink.” I explained.
“We should arrange for a public, in person meeting as well.” Luna Josie suggested.
“I agree. It should be at New Moon.” Luna Marigold added.
“Right, since New Moon will be the new royal pack.” Luna Evie nodded.
“I’m not so sure about that, but we can host the meeting regardless. We should give the packs time to gather themselves and arrange for travel. A week?” I said and the others nodded.
“Are you sure about this, Austyn?” Leo was looking at me with eyes full of love and concern.
“I’m sure.” I smiled at him, grabbing his hand and squeezing it tightly.
“This I have got to see.” Alpha Noah grinned wickedly.
“If it’s alright with Luna Austyn, of course.” Alpha Knox added politely and I smiled at him,
“It’s fine.” I shrugged. I had no idea how or why I knew how to do this, I just knew that I could. “Evie, can you stay close in case the Elders try to fight the command?” I looked over towards the human Luna. She nodded and moved closer to me.
“Hello werewolves. Do not be alarmed. I am Luna Austyn-Rose of the New Moon pack in Oregon. I am the descendant of the great Queen Luna and Alpha King who ruled more than a century ago. Our history has been hidden from us. The Council who claims to care for us, are traitors and liars. They massacred innocents, women and children, in a coo against the royal family,
“For decades, they have bent the rogue wolves to their will, murdering innocent packs who dare to stand against their prejudices. Alphas who dared to take Lunas who weren’t werewolves. Pack members who dared to accept a mate outside of the werewolf species. Today, their tyranny ends,
“At this moment, we stand on the sacred grounds of the Blue Moon pack in California. The Council is responsible for the massacre of the pack that once stood where we stand now, the great Velvet Moon pack. By the grace of the Moon Goddess, the Alpha, Luna, and their children survived. The evidence of their betrayal is clear in the pages of Velvet Moon and Blue Moons’s history. The proof is everywhere, if only you are brave enough to look,
“With me now are the Alphas from four packs known as the packs of the four corners; each a descendant of the royal guard. Alpha August and Luna Josephine of Crescent Moon, Alpha Noah and Luna Everleigh of Blood Moon, Alpha Finn and Luna Marigold of Silver Moon, and Alphas Knox and Cameron, and Luna Navy of Blue Moon as well as my mate, Alpha Leo, of New Moon. We are joined by the four elders who attempted the mass murder of Blue Moon only a few short days ago, all becuase Alpha Knox dared to love and chose a siren mate as his Luna,
“The elders will now confess to their sins, commanded by the human Luna Everleigh whose Luna tone is the strongest among the species.”
I looked around the room and noted everyone’s wide eyes and ghostly expressions. By that, I knew my mindlink was working. I nodded towards Evie who narrowed her eyes on the elders in response, reminding them to obey her command.
“Elders Harvey, Jacobs, Cardinal, and Eliason, what do you have to say for your sins?”
“Everything Luna Austyn says is true. The Council organized the murder of the royal family, a coo that was unsupported by the species as a whole.” Eliason began, speaking through my mindlink.
“Since then, the Council has commanded the rogues, using fear to keep them in line. We threatened their loved ones and families if they began to waver. We used the rogues to murder thousands of wolves and destroy counless packs.” Harvey continued.
“We destroyed Velvet Moon for taking a siren Luna and we attacked Blue Moon for the same reason. We have threatened each and every Alpha that stands here today.” Jacobs said.
“We are guilty of many crimes, but we do not see them as sin. We stand proudly against the mixing of the species. We will never deny our hatred of Alphas mating with females who are not werewolves. The human can command us to speak only the truth, but she cannot force us to reject our values.” Cardinal sneered before I cut off the link, stopping him from spreading more hate.
I nodded at Evie and she silenced the Elders for me before I ended our message.
“In a week’s time, we invite anyone and everyone to New Moon’s packhouse for a formal, public meeting. We will be there to answer questions and stand trail to every single werewolf who comes. We will bring our evidence, the elders in question, and the rogues we have as witnesses. Then, we will discuss the plans for our specie’s future.”
