Chapter 56
Knox
“Navy?” I looked at my mate questioningly as she hovered in the doorway.
“Are you alright?” I walked across our bedroom and took her in my arms. It was then that I noticed the hickey on her neck for the first time.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” I quickly looked away from it, not wanting to make her feel embarrassed.
“Cameron and I….” She gulped, her words caught in her throat.
“Love, you don’t have to be embarrassed or frightened. We’ve discussed this.” I chuckled softly,
“Are you and our baby okay?” I rubbed her stomach, dipping down to give it a kiss.
“Yes, oh yes, we’re fine.” She nodded quickly, afraid that I thought she had caused harm to our child.
“Should Cameron come sleep with us now?” I asked, cupping her face in my hand.
“What?” She blinked at me in shock.
“I had assumed that Cameron wasn’t sleeping with us because you two hadn’t…slept together yet.” I said delicately.
“You think Cameron should sleep with us?” She blinked at me.
“We’re all mates, you should sleep with both of us.” I replied, confused by her hesitation.
“I don’t disagree.” Cameron stepped up behind Navy making her jump. I chuckled at her skittishness.
“You two want to sleep together?” She looked between us both and we burst into laughter.
“No, we want to sleep with you, silly.” I chuckled at her flushed expression.
“Show me then.” She narrowed her eyes stubbornly.
“Show you?” Cameron asked in confusion.
“Mhm. show me how we would all sleep together.″ She was challenging us.
Cameron and I shared a look before I scooped her up in my arms and gently laid her down in the center of the bed. I crawled next to her, placing my arm behind her head. Cameron laid down on her other side, draping his arm over her stomach. She was laying as stiff as a board in the center of the bed, staring up at the ceiling.
“I have to admit, I imagined that you would be slightly less unpleasant in this situation.” I clicked my tongue disappointedly.
“Knox.” Navy whined at me.
“Yes, baby?” I ran my hand over the top of her head.
“Are you not comfortable, angel?” Cameron asked, rubbing his thumb in circles over her stomach.
“Cameron.” She whined at him now.
“Just go to sleep, Navy.” Cameron laughed, closing his eyes.
“I’m not even in my pajamas yet.” She scoffed.
“True.” I agreed. I sat up and pulled off my shirt. I tugged Navy into a sitting position and freed her of her own shirt.
“Knox!” She narrowed her eyes at me.
“What? You said you weren’t in your pjs, I’m just helping.” I wiggled my eyes at her suggestively. Cameron sat behind her and took off his own shirt. She looked over her shoulder and her entire face went red.
“What are you doing?” She asked Cam.
“I sleep without my shirt on.” He shrugged innocently, laying back down. I walked across the room and took one of Navy’s nightshirts from the dresser. I raised my eyebrow, waiting for her to finish undressing.
“Do you need some help?” I asked.
As if it were possible, she blushed even deeper. She quickly undid her bra and shimmied out of her pants. I pulled the oversized shirt over her head, then I pushed her back down and tucked her in.
“Goodnight, baby.” I said, kissing her cheek.
“Sweet dreams, angel.” Cameron rolled over and kissed her other cheek.
We both were facing our mate, with our arms tucked around her body. Eventually, she rolled over so she was facing me. She nuzzled her face into my neck and folded her legs around Cameron’s.
“Goodnight, my loves.” Navy’s voice was smaller than a whisper as she addressed us.
