Chapter 120 Kara Could Not Say It
Kara entered the apartment and fell in love with it at first glance.
Sunlight streamed into the room through the French Windows. She felt very comfortable in it.
"Donald, if I don't leave the studio, can I stay in this apartment forever?"
"Yes."
Seeing the little girl staring at him with bright eyes, he swallowed the words that he was about to say.
This apartment was a gift from Master Larry to celebrate her admission into University A, but Master Larry was awkward and did not want to tell her directly, but let Donald bring her over.
If she liked it, he would give the key to her.
"Wow, Donald, can I clean up this afternoon?"
"Yes."
"Yay! Donald, this apartment is awesome!"
There were two bedrooms, one living room, a kitchen, and a large bathroom. The most wonderful thing was that there was a large balcony.
When she pushed open the window of the room, she could see a small garden. In the distance, there were mountains for sightseeing. There were rivers around the mountains. "What do you need? I'll drive you to buy it."
"Is it a gift?" Kara laughed, her big eyes flashing with bright light.
"It could be!"
Donald smiled. When he saw her smile so happily, his mood improved.
When he heard her speak, he found that before the little girl spoke, she would definitely call him Donald. Her delicate and gentle voice was really pleasant.
Kara noted down the things she wanted to buy on her phone, and then the two went to the mall.
The two of them walked around the mall for a few hours and returned to the apartment to clean up together. Kara looked at the place she had personally cleaned up and felt a sense of accomplishment. "Donald, I've recorded all the things I bought. I'll give you the money next month."
Donald shook his head. Seeing that her hair was a little messy, he wanted to help her comb it, but he felt that it was too intimate. He put his hand in his pocket.
"We agreed that you would draw a painting for me. As for your skill, I earned it."
"Donald, are you so sure that my painting will be valuable?"
Kara was only interested in painting at the beginning, but it became a habit after learning from her mother. Now painting could help her get into University A, so she continued to paint. However, she was not confident that her work could be sold for money.
"I've never lost money on any of the stocks I've invested in." Donald was very confident.
Kara raised her eyebrows, pouted, and took out her phone, "Then which company are you investing in? I'll buy it too."
"The SA Group."
Kara rolled her eyes.
Kara wanted to treat him to a meal to show her gratitude, but she suddenly received a call from Libby, asking when she would go back. She said the medicine she brewed was almost cold. "Miss Kara, Dr. Will said that you can't stop the medicine."
Libby said this with a guilty look. She turned to look at the annoyed face of Mr. James and hoped that Kara would come back soon.
Mr. James gave off a cold aura. The air conditioner was turned on in the villa, and it was still so cold that people wanted to put on more clothes.
"Okay, I will go back now." Kara hung up the phone and said sorry to Donald.
When Donald heard her explanation and thought of the faint smell of medicine on her, he frowned slightly.
"Do you take medicine every day?"
How could a normal girl take medicine every day?
"It was because I was too weak that I needed to be nursed. The medicine was just for a course of treatment. I have been taking it for several months." Kara was helpless.
After taking those medicine, she could clearly feel that she was much better, and the most obvious thing was that... she gained weight!
"Medicine is somewhat harmful. It's better to take less medicine."
Donald, who usually had a smile on his face, now turned around and left with no expression on his face.
Kara was in a fog and felt that Donald's reaction was a little intense.
Did he dislike her for taking medicine?
When she was young, because she often took medicine, the smell of medicine on her body was disliked by others. Now looking at Donald's upset face, she suddenly felt upset.
It was Mason who went to pick her up. She found him looking at the rearview mirror from time to time.
"Mason, what do you want to say?"
"Miss Kara, Mr. James doesn't seem to be in a good mood today. Do you know the reason?" Mason asked.
Kara frowned. She was also not in a good mood right now.
"I don't know."
"Then when you see Mr. James, please try to please him." Mason persuaded.
The corner of Kara's mouth twitched.
'Please him? Was he a kitten?'
Kara returned to the villa and saw James sitting in the living room, holding a computer and looking gloomy. She wanted to go to the kitchen secretly.
"Kara."
Kara stopped and listened to his cold tone. She was terrified.
"Uncle James, there was a lot of work in the studio today, so I came back late."
"I don't want an explanation."
James put down his laptop and crossed his legs. His gaze lazily fell on her.
Kara frowned and looked at him.
If he didn't want an explanation, then what did he need?
"As I said, as long as I am in NK City, I will definitely come back to eat with you. If you don't need it, then forget it."
James got up and left with his laptop.
Kara was speechless.
Kara stared at his back in shock. Her heart beat badly and she wanted to deny it.
But when she opened her mouth, she found that she did not have the courage at all.
She was going to move out of the villa soon, and they would not be able to eat together.
During dinner, the two did not communicate at all. Kara felt awkward, but she still forced herself to continue.
But how should she tell him that she wanted to move out?
Back in the bedroom, she first packed her things and went to tidy up the things in the studio.
The next day, she carried her bag to the studio. She was in the studio in the morning and went to the apartment to clean up in the afternoon. After two days of work, the apartment was organized.
She took a few photos excitedly and sent them to Arya. She told Arya that she had her own independent apartment and then they chatted happily.
"Kara, have you told Uncle James about it?" said Arya.
"No, I don't know how to say it yet," Kara said in distress.
"What do you mean? He will get engaged, and there will be a mistress in his villa. It is not appropriate for an adult girl like you to live in his villa. Kara, you are an adult girl now, and you should keep a distance from your Uncle James." Arya persuaded.
"I know that."
Kara sighed. She was clear about these, but she still did not know how to say it!
Back at the villa, James was not around for dinner.
After he said that, he did not go back to the villa for dinner, and he did not wait for her for breakfast.
"Mr. James drank quite a bit every time he came back these few days. Well, he could not drink a lot. Miss Kara, please talk to him." Libby complained.
Kara blinked in confusion. How should she try to persuade him?
She had hidden an unspeakable secret, and if this secret were to expose, he would definitely lose his temper again.
"By right, Mr. James is getting engaged soon. This should be something happy."
Libby was deep in thought. Mr. James looked upset, not happy. He did not seem to get engaged at all. He looked so gloomy as if attending a funeral. She could see that Mr. James liked Miss Kara quite a lot. Miss Kara was also very dependent on him, and the two of them were quite compatible. Libby couldn't help but look at the little girl with sympathy. If Mr. James was engaged, what would Miss Kara do?
Kara lowered her head and bit the chopsticks, thinking that there was still a week before the engagement. Yesterday, Mason told her that Zoey ran to the company to announce that Uncle James was going to be engaged. Then, should she move out of the villa on the day that he was engaged?
There was no need for Kathleen to personally chase her away.
At this time, the doorbell rang.
Libby was puzzled. Who would come to Mr. James' villa at this time?
