Chapter 119 Ready to Move out of the Villa
James drove Kara to the studio.
Sitting in the front passenger seat, Kara looked at him, confused. She didn't understand why he personally drove her to the studio.
It was too quiet in the car. Thinking about what happened in the morning, Kara coughed awkwardly, trying to ease the atmosphere. "Uncle James, the college entrance examination score is out. I got into University A. I am so happy."
"Well."
James looked ahead and responded indifferently.
Kara pursed her lips and continued to cheer, "Well, thank you, Uncle James. If you hadn't taught me, I definitely wouldn't have done so well." "How are you going to thank me?" He turned to look at her.
...
Kara was stunned for a few seconds. She twisted her small hands and subconsciously pinched the necklace on her neck with her left hand.
"Uncle James, how can I thank you?"
James snorted coldly.
He looked at her with contempt for her playing dumb.
Kara looked down and played with her fingers, not knowing how to face him.
He was about to get engaged, and if she offered to be with him to thank him, wouldn't that be asking for humiliation?
When they arrived at the studio, Kara got off the car and was about to say goodbye to him when she heard his question. "Little fool, have you not realized your mistake?"
Kara stared at him blankly. After thinking for a while, she didn't know what she had done wrong.
"Uncle James, what are you referring to?"
"Come here."
He lowered the window and crooked his finger at her.
Kara immediately became alert and looked around. Seeing that there was no one around, she got close to the window.
The man reached out and knocked her on the forehead.
She screamed in pain.
"Uncle James, it hurts a lot."
"That's right. Learn a lesson." James's brown eyes were cold as he gave her a warning look.
"I remember telling you that you don't need to thank me. You have a bad memory. You really deserve to be punished!"
She thanked him just to draw a clear line with him. How could he endure it?
Seeing her red forehead, he felt sorry. He had not controlled his strength properly just now.
"Oh, I'll really remember it in the future." Kara gently touched her forehead.
It was the first time that Uncle James had taught her such a harsh lesson. She was really unaccustomed to it.
"It's useless to talk nonsense. If you want to show that you have remembered it, prove it to me later!"
"Okay."
Kara bit her pink lips, pouted, and turned to the studio.
She first went upstairs to clean up a few art rooms. She took out the mirror. See that the red mark on her forehead was much lighter, she pouted.
Wasn't Uncle James too ruthless? She wasn't smart.
If her brain was damaged, he had to compensate her!
"Hey, Kara, are you appreciating yourself?"
A voice suddenly came from behind her. Kara was shocked. She turned to look at Jeffery leaning against the door. Jeffery raised his eyebrows and smiled at her. She was relieved. "Jeffery, I have already cleaned up this studio." She did not goof off.
"Yes, I saw it." Jeffery looked at her delicate little face. She looked like a middle school student.
"Master Larry is looking for you. He asked me to call you."
"Oh, thank you, Jeffery." Kara went downstairs and saw Master Larry holding a teacup and talking to Donald.
"You don't have to stay at school during the summer vacation. Then go to the apartment on the opposite side." Master Larry said straightforwardly.
"Teacher, are you giving me the apartment or renting it to me?" Donald asked with a smile.
Master Larry stopped drinking tea and glared at him with a long face.
"It sounds like I'm always harsh on you. Last time at the French art exhibition, you earned tens of millions with your works. Anyway, you have money. Go buy an apartment yourself."
"No. You will rent it to me for the cheapest price." Donald poured tea for him with a fawning expression, as if they were father and son.
"Donald and Master Larry have such a good relationship."
"There is a story between them. Long ago, Master Larry went to the mountains and encountered a rainstorm. He almost fell down the mountain. It was Donald, who was traveling, saved Master Larry's life." "Later, Master Larry asked around and found out that Donald was also a painter. He invited him to teach at University A and work here with Master Larry."
As Kara listened to the thrilling story, she patted her chest in fear, "Fortunately, Master Larry is fine. Maybe this is fate."
"Kara, come here," Master Larry turned to look at her when he heard the two of them talking.
That was an order, and Kara thought that she had not made any mistakes in the past few days before she dared to walk in front of him.
"Hello, Master Larry. I was cleaning the art studio upstairs just now."
"It's good that you didn't goof off." Master Larry snorted. His gaze swept across her face. She found that half of her face was fine, but her forehead was still a little red.
"What happened last time? Did they come to the studio?"
Only then did Kara understand that Master Larry wanted to ask about the matter of Kathleen. She looked down and did not dare to speak.
In fact, she couldn't explain this matter clearly, but because she had affected the reputation of the studio, she was really very sorry.
If Master Larry was angry because of this and wanted her to leave, she had nothing to say.
"Silly, what do you mean by looking down? Why didn't you fight back when others hit you?"
"What?"
Kara looked up in shock.
"Hey, what are you doing? In the future, if someone dares to make trouble again, you should take the broom and hit them. How dare she hit my student in my territory? This is outrageous!" Master Larry wore a long face. If he had been present, he would definitely take the broom and beat Kathleen up.
Kara felt warm, and the smile on her face widened, bright and lovely.
"Thank you, Master Larry. I will remember what you said next time."
"Be smart. It's nothing amazing to learn how to draw. If you don't get bullied by others, you're the best!" Master Larry's way of teaching was very rough, but also very practical. Learning how to draw was nothing impressive, but only when one was strong enough to not be bullied could one be considered capable.
"Yes!" Kara got it and nodded seriously.
When Master Larry saw her nod, he was satisfied and turned to look at Donald.
"I leave her to you. If anything happens in the future, you are to blame."
"Yes!" Donald imitated Kara and nodded seriously.
"None of you make me at ease." After Master Larry finished lecturing, he took a sip of tea and turned to look at Kara.
"If you're tired in the studio, ask Donald to prepare a room for you. If you work too late, just stay."
Kara looked at the business district opposite the studio. Behind the commercial street was a luxury apartment. That apartment was not cheap, right?
Donald explained with a smile when he saw the little girl staring at him.
"The developer asked Master Larry to design some apartments at the back of the commercial street. They asked for a few paintings and then sent a few apartments as a gift."
'Wow, this developer is really a nouveau riche. For a few paintings of Master Larry, he sent out apartments worth tens of millions.'
'After all, Master Larry's painting was worth this price!'
Kara pondered deeply. If she lived in the apartment here, she could leave the villa, and the studio was very close to University A. In the future, she could live here when she didn't go to school. "Master Larry, can I have one?"
Master Larry put down the teacup and looked at her smiling face. He raised his eyebrows slightly.
"Don't ask me about this. Donald is in charge of the key."
Donald took out a bunch of keys and shook them in his hand. When he smiled, he had two dimples.
"If you want to live in the apartment, you have to promise me one thing."
