Book 3: Chapter 7 (7/9)
Lazela smiled and said, “I thank you for your kindness, Great General Hayward. May I enter the city now?”
Brandis nodded and said, “Of course.”
“But I can’t promise to go out on a date with you.”
“You don’t have to. If you don’t want to go on a date with me in Bifjorkian Theocracy, I will come to the Dryardian Empire to find you. We can go out on a date over there if you want.”
“You willingly come to the enemy territory to go on a date with me?” Lazela suspiciously asked.
“Hahaha… There is nothing to worry about. My physical combat abilities allow me to come and go anywhere in the world as I like.”
“Really? How strong are you? If you don’t mind letting me know.” contemporary romance
“I have long reached the Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior. My last wife died of old age over two thousand years ago and I thought I will never be in love again until I see you today. Your beauty isn’t anything I can compare with.” Brandis had no problem expressing his feelings for Lazela.
After Lazela gained permission to enter Flumen city. Knowing she can't fly inside the city because it was prohibited for a visitor such as her, that was why Lazela calmly walked while the humans of Flumen city kept gazing at her because of her green hair. Lazela asked for direction from one of the city guards then she walked toward Arthur Castillon’s Mansion to deliver Kain’s letter to Arthur first before heaving toward the Temple of Mages Council per Kain’s instruction.
After Arthur read the letter, he nodded his head and said, “Tell Kain that I will be there.”
Lazela slightly bowed her head and said, “I will deliver your message back to Kain, dear Sir Arthur.”
Leaving Arthur’s Mansion, Lazela asked another city guard for direction then walked toward the Temple of the Mages Council and requested to speak with Lord Clerico of the Gray. Knowing she was a conjured creature of Kain Bersk, the Executioners that guard the gate angrily attacked her. Lazela didn’t fight back, she activated multiple [Warding Wind] spells to reflect all the magic spells that were casted on her by the Executioners.
While the Executioners were angry and confused about how Lazela could gain entry into the city, a voice shouted and made them stop the fight, “ Halt!”
The Executioners recognized the voice, they stopped fighting, turned toward that voice, and asked, “Great General Hayward?”
Brandis smiled and said, “I was the one who gave Ms. Lazela permission to enter Flumen city. She wanted to speak with Lord Clerico, why did you attack her?”
One of the Executioners angrily asked, “She is a conjured creature of the enemy. If Kain Bersk wants to deliver a message, he needs to send messengers like other world leaders would have done, not sending a magical creature from that he conjured from another realm like that.”
“So?”
“Kain Bersk must have given that creature a mission like assassinating a Lord of the Colors or even the Holy Mage. We can't allow that to happen.”
“Haha… Such dumb thinking. Are you telling me that the Mages Council is afraid of a magical creature from another realm? Are you saying that the Lords of the Colors are just a bunch of crybabies that can be killed by one of Kain Bersk's creatures? Send an Executioner to notify Lord Clerico that Ms. Lazela wanted to deliver a message from Kain Bersk to him. I will stay here to make sure she wouldn’t do anything crazy, alright?”
“Great General Hayward, but-”
“Go… Don’t you trust me? Don’t you think I can handle her if she starts attacking?”
“You are right. My apology. I will go deliver the message to Lord Clerico. Other Executioners will stay with you, Great General Hayward.”
A few minutes later. An Executioner that served Lord Clerico walked outside of the Temple of the Mages Council to greet Lazela and said, “Lord Clerico agreed to meet you, follow me.”
Lazela respectfully said, “I thank you for your time. Please lead the way.”
Before she walked inside the Temple of the Mages Council, Lazela turned her head toward Brandis and expressed her gratitude, “Great General Hayward, I will see you again.”
Hearing Lazela said that she will see him again, Brandis immediately knew Lazela agreed to go on a date with him. Brandis nodded and smiled to let her know that he had acknowledged her message.
Inside the Throne Room of the Gray. Noe Clerico was sitting on his throne chair looking down on Lazela as she walked in. Knowing Noe Clerico was the biggest enemy of her Conjurer Mage, Lazela still slightly bowed at him to show respect because her current duty was a messenger, not a fighter.
Lazela said, “Lord Clerico of the Gray. I, Lazela, hereby deliver a hand-written letter to you from my Conjurer Mage, Kain Bersk.” Lazela then took out the letter Kain wrote for Noe and handed it to an Executioner to deliver it to Noe Clerico.
After reading the letter, Noe laughed out loud and said, “I didn’t know that boy was so thoughtful. He wanted me to build an arena on some small island of the ocean located in the middle between Bifjorkian Theocracy and the Dryardian Empire. Then invited all leaders of this world including all high ranking officials of the Mages Council to witness an out all battle between me and him. If I kill him, then it will be the fall of the Blood Mages, Rogue Mages, and the Demi-Humans. But if he manages to kill me, then it would be the end of the Mages Council, Bifjorkian Theocracy, Republic of Yfari, Kingdom of Ronia, Kingdom of Winhardia, Cloudia Empire, and the Kingdom of Qarte. Not a bad idea. I will defeat Kain Bersk, kill him, then convert him into one of my minions in front of all world leaders. Let them witness Kain’s true power before turning him into a minion isn’t a bad idea either. It can’t be compared to if Kain causes terror in all the nations, but it’s not bad.”
