Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon)

Chapter 659

Not long after, Jasper's car arrived at the studio's entrance.

The car had just stopped, and before Jasper could turn off the engine, Olivia had already opened the door and hopped out of it. She went straight to the studio and walked in before walking back out. She looked up at the logo on the door.

She walked in again and asked, "Ruby, does the name of your studio have any meaning?"

After saying that, Olivia carefully sized up Ruby's outfit today. Ruby was a gentle, beautiful, fashionable, delicate, yet tough career-type woman.

Olivia sighed inwardly again and thought something was wrong with her brother's eyes. It was such a pity he failed to recognize Ruby's qualities and be a couple with her.

Ruby glanced at the man who came in through the door. His outfit was tight on the inside and loose on the outside. It was fashionable and charmingly comfortable to look at. Despite wearing understated clothes, his elegance and handsomeness could not be concealed. Since Ruby started designing, she had subconsciously sized up everyone's clothes.

Jasper's dark and deep eyes met Ruby's clear, gentle, and beautiful eyes for a few seconds.

Ruby averted her gaze and passed the milkshake on the table to Olivia. She explained naturally, "My surname is Blackwell. The last letter is the initial of my name, Ruby. It's not as complicated as you think." Ruby handed the coffee to Jasper with a smile on her face and tenderness in her eyes. "Brother, here's your coffee."

Jasper's eyes darkened and he reached out his slender fingers to take it. "Thank you."

Olivia took a big sip of the cold milkshake and automatically translated, "It's delicious. Doesn't that mean you're the Blackwell family's only Ruby?"

"You can put it that way. Why are you here today? Didn't you go to the cemetery this morning?" Ruby asked. She handed a cup of cold milkshake to Winnie and picked up a cup of milkshake to drink. Some lipstick was stained on the white paper straw.

Ruby's assistant, Winnie, took the milkshake and glanced at Jasper before hiding at the bar counter again.

As the two women conversed, Jasper was like an outsider. He did not interrupt them. After sizing up Ruby's attire for a few seconds, he sat on the small sofa and casually flipped through the catalog. He held a cup of coffee, took a sip, and placed it on the coffee table. It was as if he was really there to look at his suit today.

Olivia wandered around the large studio with the milkshake in her hand. She would take a sip from time to time. Ruby brought her around and opened every door for her to see.

"I went to the cemetery in the morning. After that, I came over. My brother said he wanted to see the style of the suit, so we came over together."

Ruby smiled and emphasized the word "Brother." "Yes, Brother just took the measurements yesterday. The style hasn't been decided yet. He can take a look today. Brother, there's a catalog over there. You may take a look."

Upon hearing that, Jasper stopped drinking his coffee. Today, Ruby had called him brother again and again loudly and piercingly. He felt annoyed by that form of address, but he agreed good-naturedly. "Okay." Ruby brought Olivia to the storage room to look at the fabrics and exhibition area. After the explanation, Olivia, who had seen everything, praised, "This place is really well done. Ruby, is this renovation European-style?"

From the renovation, one could tell that it was luxurious. It also showed that it had cost a lot to customize the studio. It could be seen that it was a high-end private customization. Ruby replied, "Yes."

Then, Ruby turned around and took the fabric sample that Winnie had taken out yesterday. Ruby sat opposite Jasper and asked, "Brother, look at this fabric. Can your suit be made with this material?" Jasper thought, 'She called me brother again. She is really addicted to calling me that.' He picked up his coffee and took a sip to moisten his throat. He took a small piece of fabric and rubbed it between his fingertips. It felt good. He said calmly, "Yes, sure. Do as you see fit."

The sofa caved in. Olivia sat down on the sofa with the milkshake in her hands. She snatched the fabric from Jasper's hand and touched it. She held it in the air. With the naked eye, she could still see the sequins in the fabric. They were thin, but when she got closer, she could see they were beautiful. "This fabric is not bad. Jasper, it will definitely look good when made into a suit. Have you chosen a style?" Jasper replied, "No, you can decide on the style."

"Sure." Ruby accepted it without hesitation.

She bent over and wanted to sit down. At this moment, her light blue ribbon came loose, and her curled brown hair fell down. A strand of hair brushed across the back of Jasper's hand as he flipped through the catalog. It felt itchy, as though a feather was brushing against his heart.

He looked up with a faint smile. Ruby's eyes were as clear as water. She was already tying her hair, and the ribbon was tied to her hair again, falling naturally.

She tidied up the bangs on both sides of her face and placed a black pen on the coffee table. She looked at Olivia and smiled. "Olivia, didn't you say that you like this white cardigan on me? I'll buy one for you later. There are two colors, white and black. Which color do you like?"

Jasper stared at Ruby without blinking. It was as if he wanted to imprint her current appearance in his mind. After looking at Ruby for about a minute and realizing that she hadn't looked at him the entire time, he retracted his gaze and continued to flip through the catalog.

Ruby glanced at Jasper from the corner of her eye and smiled faintly. She was still looking at Olivia, waiting for an answer.

Olivia had always liked light-colored clothes. "White, just like yours. When the time comes, we'll wear it together. It'll be a sister outfit."

Ruby thought for a moment. "Should I buy one for Sophia, too?"

Olivia quickly refused and kept waving her hand. "Ruby, please don't. Sophia will take the outfit and ask you to change it to a green or short style. It's better not to trouble yourself."

Ruby was amused by Olivia's words. But then she thought it was true that the delicate style was not suitable for Sophia's personality. It was not an outfit meant for fighting.

Jasper, who was sitting opposite, also subconsciously curled up the corners of his lips.

Jasper and Olivia had lunch in the studio. At around one in the afternoon, Olivia and Jasper left the studio and went to the Wilson Group.

The Wilson Group.

Olivia walked side by side with Jasper to the elevator for senior executives. They walked into the elevator under everyone's gaze after they got past the facial recognition check. Some people were already whispering.

The two of them were used to it and didn't comment. They walked toward their father's office.

When they passed by the secretary department, they met Jim, who was also preparing to enter Trevon's office. Olivia greeted Jim politely, "Hello, Mr. Hawk."

Jasper nodded as a polite greeting.

Jim responded with a smile. After getting married and becoming a father, Jim appeared to be more mature and steady. "Miss Wilson, you are here. Mr. Wilson has asked me countless times in the afternoon if you're here."

Olivia smiled. "My dad misses me. I'll go in."

Jim was the last to enter, following behind Jasper. He thought that Jasper's expressionless face was really similar to Trevon's. Jasper also had a quiet personality.

It was like a small party was held in the office. Trevon had long asked Jim to prepare snacks, milkshakes, and cakes.

Jasper took off his windbreaker and sat on the sofa with his legs wide open. He narrowed his eyes and looked at the snacks on the coffee table, feeling speechless.

Olivia opened the packaging and started eating.

Jasper asked, "Are you not full yet?"

Olivia lowered her voice and said, "I'm full. But Dad prepared these. No matter how full I am, I have to eat them."

As she spoke, she picked up the milkshake and took a sip. She felt bad about rejecting Trevon's gesture of love, nor did she want him to be disappointed. She merely felt a little bloated after drinking two cups of milkshakes in one day.

She didn't think she had even finished digesting the cup of milkshake she just drunk in the studio.

She thought, 'Forget it. At worst, I will make a few more trips to the toilet later. It's just that I'll waste more tissues.'

Jasper glanced at Olivia and then at her stomach. He thought, 'I can't believe she can still drink it.'

Trevon finished signing the documents that Jim had sent in. He stood up and tidied his clothes before sitting beside his daughter. "How is the renovation at Ruby's studio?"

"It's quite good. It looks very high-end," Olivia replied while chewing on her snack.

Suddenly, Trevon's topic took a completely different turn. He asked Jim, who was already at the door, "What grade is your wife teaching?"

"What? You mean Susan?"

Trevon looked at Jim as if he was looking at a fool and retorted, "After being a father for a few years, you've become a fool. Who else could I be referring to? My Natalie?"

Jim smiled. He would not argue with someone with hormonal disorders. His wife had stable emotions. He had been influenced by her every day because they slept together. Thus, his emotions also began to stabilize. "My Susan is the homeroom and language teacher for the ninth grade at Athana High School."

Trevon thought, 'Your Susan? You made it sound as if I don't have a wife.'

As soon as Jim said that, Olivia became curious. "Which ninth-grade class does Mrs. Hawk teach?"

Jim answered, "Class One."

Olivia suddenly laughed out loud. Jasper knew what Olivia was laughing about and curled his lips. Trevon also laughed. The three of them laughed together. Jim was a little confused.

"Is there a problem?"

Trevon adjusted his cuffs, raised his eyebrows, and smiled. "Doesn't your wife tell you about the happenings in school?"

"No." Jim didn't know anything about teaching. Besides, he couldn't give his wife any advice where teaching was concerned.

Not only was Jim's wife emotionally stable, but she was also considerate. She never told Jim about the school's troubles and only told him about the interesting things at home. She had also managed the household properly. Their child's elementary school homework was a piece of cake for her. Jim never had to worry about it. Picking up and sending their child was the job of Jim's parents.

Trevon kindly reminded, "If you are free, pay more attention to your wife. It's quite stressful being a teacher, especially when there are students ranked the last and second last in the class."

Jim was speechless. He wondered, 'Aren't there students who are ranked the last and second last in every class? There are also such students in my son's class. It's very normal.'

In the end, Jim left Trevon's office with doubts. He planned to ask his wife when he returned home at night.

After Jim left, there were only three people left in the office. Trevon unbuttoned his suit and revealed his white shirt inside. He crossed his legs and looked like a big shot. He glanced at his son, who was sitting opposite with his legs slightly open. "Did you go to the studio with Olivia ?"

Jasper met his father's gaze for a few seconds before looking away. "Yes. Didn't you ask me to come to the company to work? I went to customize my suit."

Upon hearing that, Trevon smiled meaningfully. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly. "What a coincidence."

Jasper did not answer that question. Olivia, who was eating snacks and drinking the milkshake, answered Trevon, "Jasper had his measurements taken yesterday. He went to decide on the style today."

On second thought, Jasper did go to the studio, but he didn't seem to have decided on the style. Throughout the process, Ruby decided on the fabric and style. Jasper seemed to have made an unnecessary

trip.

It was just that Olivia felt that it was a pity that Jasper did not have feelings for Ruby. She rather liked having such a gentle sister-in-law.

Trevon stared at his son without blinking. There was an intriguing smile on his lips. "You're so proactive."

Jasper did not raise his head. He only lowered his gaze to look at the snacks on the table and replied calmly, "Yes."

Due to the arrival of Jasper and Olivia, Trevon got off work early. Before Olivia arrived, he asked Jim to bring forward the meeting. When they returned home, Olivia sat in the front passenger seat of Trevon's car while Jasper drove home alone.

In the car, Trevon suddenly asked, "Olivia, what kind of sister-in-law do you want?"

This topic successfully diverted Olivia's attention. She turned to look at the driver's seat and said worriedly, "Dad, are you planning to ask Jasper to go on a blind date?"

Jasper had never liked such marriage alliances. He had already given Trevon a heads-up and was very against it.

Olivia thought, 'If Dad were to force Jasper, they might quarrel.' Olivia planned to scout out the situation for her brother in case something unpleasant happened.

"No, if I asked your brother to go on a blind date, he would give up his identity as the heir." Trevon thought, 'How could I not know my son's temper?'

As soon as Trevon finished speaking, Olivia patted her chest and heaved in relief. "Thank goodness, thank goodness. Dad, your sudden question scared me to death. I thought you were going to arrange a blind date for Jasper.

"Then what do you mean, Dad? Are you urging Jasper to find a girlfriend? But Jasper seems to be uninterested in girls. He doesn't accept love letters or take the initiative to talk to girls. Other than us, he only talks to Ruby and the others."

After some thought, Olivia voiced her thoughts. "But Jasper doesn't have any feelings for Ruby. I don't understand what Jasper is thinking, either. Perhaps his fated one hasn't appeared yet." Trevon asked, "Your brother said he didn't like Ruby?"

Olivia nodded vigorously and said seriously, "Yes, I was still complaining in Jasper's car today. Jasper told me not to spout nonsense in front of Mr. Blackwell. He said he and Ruby were considered siblings. Let me recall what I asked him."

Olivia tried hard to recall what she had said to Jasper in the car. After thinking for a long time, she could not remember it. It was mainly because she had said so much today that she could not remember at the moment. "Anyway, I asked Jasper if he had any feelings for Ruby. Then, Jasper said that he did not have any feelings for her. Yes, Jasper said that he did not have any feelings for her. I'm sure about that." Trevon snorted at that and thought, 'That rascal.' Then he said, "I was just asking. Don't tell your brother."

"What? Oh, I won't tell him."

Olivia thought, 'What's going on today? Jasper asked me not to spout nonsense in front of Mr. Blackwell. Then Dad asked me to keep a secret. I feel as if I'm becoming a member of the Secret Service.'
