Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon)

Chapter 658

The next morning.

The Wilson family's cemetery.

Theo's garden was the most eye-catching part of the cemetery every year. Whether they were blooming or not, the flowers and trees in the garden grew extremely well. The green leaves were as bright as wax and were exceptionally pleasing to the eye under the warm sun. All kinds of flower heads gathered around, sticking their heads out, wanting to be the most beautiful flower.

The group of people stood in the cemetery and paid their respects to their ancestors and Theo one by one in sequence.

When they were paying respects to Theo, Jasper knelt and kowtowed to the tombstone. He knelt on the ground and helped to place the flowers properly. Olivia knelt beside her brother.

Caleb and Rachel looked at their grandchildren's actions and nodded slightly. Although the cemetery was clean, there was still dust if they knelt directly. In addition, Jasper's pants were gray, and Olivia's pants were white.

Natalie squatted on the ground and took a stack of lettering designs from a bag. She handed them to her son and said, "Jasper, place them on your great-grandfather's grave."

Jasper took them and replied calmly, "Okay."

Every year, Jasper would sort out the lettering designs he had written for the past year and take them to the cemetery to be placed on Theo's grave, signifying that Theo could check Jasper's works. There were many pieces of paper. The lettering designs were drawn every day without rest. Olivia helped to take some and placed them on the grave. No one snatched this task. Only Jasper and Olivia were allowed to do it.

Trevon stood before his grandfather's tombstone in a suit and leather shoes. He pursed his lips and did not say anything. He was speaking and praying inwardly.

Rachel squatted down and wiped the tombstone. Even though it was clean, she still wiped it every time she came. "Dad, Sophia, that mischievous kid, is not here today. May you and Mom in heaven bless her to be safe and sound during training."

"Grandpa, I've handed Jasper's homework to you. Check it carefully. The children are doing well. Trevon and I are doing well, too. You and Grandma may rest assured. Sophia is the most mischievous and vexing one in the family."

Natalie also said a few words.

Half an hour later, after everything was placed on the grave and tidied up, Jasper helped his sister to get up. Natalie bent over and was about to pat Olivia's dirty knees when Olivia stopped her. "Mom, it's okay."

Then, Olivia patted her own knees and helped Jasper pat his knees. Jasper gestured for Olivia to stop. Jasper took a packet of wet wipes from the pocket of his sweater and handed it to Olivia. Olivia took the packet of wet wipes, took one out, and wiped her hands. She stuffed the rest of the wet wipes back into her brother's pocket and held his wrist as they left the cemetery.

Gage and Mary did not leave. They requested to stay and accompany Theo. The old lady chatted with Rachel, and Rachel agreed. Rachel knew that the two of them had a close relationship with Theo. At the stairs, Olivia turned to Natalie and asked, "Mom, will Grandma Emma and the others come tomorrow morning? Do you have any other plans in the afternoon?"

Natalie, who was following behind, replied, "You guys can go wherever you want this afternoon. You need to visit your Grandma Emma tomorrow morning."

At the foot of the mountain, Trevon stood by the car door. He glanced at his son and instructed, "Send your grandpa and grandma home. I'm going to the company. Olivia, I'm leaving. If you want to go to the company, come over yourself."

"Oh, okay, Dad, I know. I plan to go to Ruby's studio later, and then I will look for you. Okay?"

Olivia knew that her father actually wanted her to go to the company, but he did not say it directly.

Natalie thought, 'Good grief, does he have to bring his daughter with him to the company?'

Trevon smiled at Natalie and said happily, "Okay, tell me when you are coming over. Natalie, I'm leaving."

Natalie was speechless.

"Okay, drive slowly."

Olivia waved her hand. "Goodbye, Dad. Be careful."

After Trevon's car left, Natalie opened the door of the multi-purpose vehicle and let Caleb and Rachel sit in before getting into the car herself.

After everyone was seated, Jasper started the car and drove to the Wilson's residence.

An hour later, the car arrived at the Wilson's residence.

When they got home, Olivia and Jasper returned to their rooms to shower and change their clothes.

Forty minutes later, Olivia went downstairs first. She had changed her style. She wore white wide-legged pants, a beige blouse, and a smog-blue cardigan. Her straight hair was left loose, and she put on light makeup. She only applied a little foundation, drew her eyebrows, and applied lipstick of a neutral color.

Natalie stood downstairs. When she saw that her daughter did not carry any bag, she asked, "You're not bringing a bag?"

Olivia shook her head and raised the phone in her hand in the air. "I'm not bringing a bag. I'm just bringing a phone. It's quite troublesome to carry a bag around. It feels uncomfortable around my neck." "Grandpa, is your leg feeling unwell today?"

Caleb, who was sitting on the sofa, turned around. Seeing that Olivia was unwilling to carry a bag, Natalie did not say anything else. Natalie did not like to bring a bag either. She glanced at Caleb and Olivia chatting in the distance and turned around to follow Rachel to the kitchen to pack the things they had brought back from the cemetery.

A few minutes later, Jasper went downstairs while straightening his clothes. He changed into dark jeans, a white shirt, and a long khaki windbreaker.

He walked straight to the door and bent over to pick out his shoes. In the end, he chose a pair of pure white sneakers.

Olivia stared at her brother for several minutes and said a simple goodbye to Caleb. "Grandpa, I'm leaving." Then, she walked toward the door.

Caleb turned to look at the door and asked, "Are you guys going out to have fun together?"

Olivia didn't know how to respond to that. She was going to look for Ruby. She didn't know where her brother was going, dressed so handsomely. Just as Olivia was still thinking about how to answer the question, Jasper replied, "Yes, I'll send Olivia over."

Caleb nodded and did not ask further. He only instructed, "Be careful."

"Got it, Grandpa. Bye, Mom and Grandma."

Natalie stuck her head from the kitchen and shouted at the door, "Yes, okay."

Outside the door, Olivia had doubts. She looked up and asked her brother, "Jasper, are you going to Ruby's studio too?"

"Yes, Dad asked me to work at the company. I ordered my clothes from Ruby."

Realization dawned on Olivia. She snapped her fingers and praised, "Oh, why didn't I think of that? You are still the smartest. You plan ahead. How impressive." Jasper did not respond to his sister's praise and made arrangements directly. "Let's take a four-wheel drive vehicle."

"Alright, you drive. I don't like four-wheel drive vehicles."

In the car, Jasper drove while Olivia sat in the front passenger seat and sent a message to Ruby, saying, [Ruby, are you at the studio?]

Ruby replied quickly, [Yes, do you want to come over?]

Olivia replied, [Yes, I'm going to your place now. I'm already on my way.]

Ruby replied, [Alright, I'll wait for you in my shop. What milkshake flavor do you want to drink? I'll order it now. You can drink it when you come over.]

After reading the message, Olivia turned to ask her brother, "Jasper, what milkshake flavor do you want to drink?"

"I don't drink milkshakes."

"But Ruby is waiting to order. Do you want some coffee?" Olivia tilted her head and asked.

Jasper thought for a moment. "Yes, a cappuccino."

"Alright, I'll tell Ruby." After saying that, Olivia lowered her head and typed, saying, [One cup of vanilla milkshake and one cup of cappuccino.]

Ruby replied, [You can't order this way. If you want, I'll order for you next time. You will get a stomachache if you drink both at the same time.]

After reading the message, Olivia smiled and said, "Ruby thought I was going to drink both cups alone. From the message, I can see that she's extremely nervous." Olivia laughed. "What kind of person do you think can be with a gentle person like Ruby? I think it's quite difficult to be Mr. Blackwell's son-in-law. Mr. Blackwell keeps a close eye on Ruby."

Jasper curled his lips into a smile, his eyes dark and unreadable. "There's nothing wrong with keeping a close watch."

Olivia typed a line of words on her phone, saying, [One is for my brother. My brother said he ordered clothes from you and was coming to check on the progress.]

After this message was sent, Ruby did not reply immediately. Olivia waited for a few minutes, but there was still no reply.

Seeing that there was no reply, Olivia looked up and continued to talk to her brother about the topic just now. "What's so good about Mr. Blackwell keeping a close watch? Even you can't play with Ruby alone. The adults kept bringing you and Ruby together. At first, I thought there was a chance for you and Ruby to be together. In the end, the two of you almost became real siblings."

Olivia looked at her phone, and there was still no reply. Olivia leaned lazily against the back of the chair and tugged her cardigan. "Yes, I remember that when I was in school, a pair in my class was successfully brought together by the others' teasing. They were just like you and Ruby. The elders always said you two were compatible. Some people said that there were quite many successful couples like this because after being matchmade by people for a long time, the couple would subconsciously pay attention to each other. Jasper, will you subconsciously pay attention to Ruby?" Jasper replied very quickly, "No."

Olivia could tell that her brother did not have any feelings for Ruby. She was a little disappointed. "Alright, you're an exception. You guys have been matchmade for so long and haven't succeeded in becoming a couple. It looks like you two are not fated to be together."

Jasper reminded his sister, "I'm considered Ruby's brother. In the future, don't say such things in front of Mr. Blackwell. Do you hear me?"

"Got it. Although Mr. Blackwell is wary of all potential sons-in-law, you and Ruby are considered siblings. It's fine even if I tell him. Don't worry. I'm not a talkative person."

Jasper said, "I don't want to explain."

Olivia shrugged her shoulders and glanced at her brother's usual expression. She looked like she understood. "I know you dislike trouble. Don't worry."

Afraid that her brother would not trust her, Olivia even made a gesture that she would be close-mouthed.

Ruby replied, but it was a simple reply. She only texted one word, [Okay.]

On the other side, in Onlybr's Studio, Ruby wore a long floral dress, a long white sweater, and a pair of black shoes.

Her slightly curled hair was tied up with a pale blue ribbon and tied in a bow. There was also a black pencil stuck in her hair. Her makeup today gave her a gentle appearance.

She tapped on the countertop and instructed her assistant, "Winnie, if my father asks you about my studio in the future, you don't have to tell him everything. He's just worried about me, and I don't want him to worry. You don't have to tell my father about what happened yesterday. The matter has been resolved, so there's no need for him to worry as well."

Winnie nodded. "Ruby, I know. Yesterday, Mr. Blackwell even asked me about it. I said the studio is doing pretty good."

Ruby was satisfied with Winnie's performance and gave her a thumbs up. "You're awesome. I ordered a milkshake for you."

"Ruby, is Mr. Blackwell afraid you'll date some guy?"

"My dad has automatically placed all the men in the lineup of potential sons-in-law." Ruby snorted. "My dad has to keep a close eye on anyone who passes by me. He's so busy," Ruby said with a smile. Winnie was not sure if she understood what Ruby meant yesterday about biding her time. Winnie was confused.
