Acheron isn't joking around.
He really means to leave here with me!
I glanced at Caldan and fear filled my heart. He might be strong, yes. But against magic? Against acheron's magic? I don't even know how to feel about it right now. "Move. And leave her behind." Acheron said, each word punctuated with murderous intent.
"I dare you. Lay a hand on her head and see just what will happen. Do you have any idea what you're about to do is a crime right now? I will have you beheaded for that." And of course, all Acheron did was laugh.
Because this was all a fucking joke to him. Because we both meant nothing.
My heart sank into my belly and I sighed. I wish...I wish I could do anything right now!

"Let her go!" Caldan yelled at Acheron.
"What is going on here?!" A sharp voice called out. From the corner of my vision, I spotted Lady Nifra, Rose trembling by her side. Relief flooded my body and I yelled out for her. "My lady!" Rose gasped.
"Rose! Lady Nifra! Help me please!"
"Acheron!" Her eyes flashed white as she turned to him.
"You bastard!" Caldan yelled. He was also rooted to a spot with Acheron's magic. I knew it would be a lost cause. I just knew it.
"Acheron!" Lady Nifra stepped in and stormed

"Rose!" I cried out and hugged her. "You shouldn't have caught me!"
"I was so worried about you!"

Aloud shot unlike anything I had ever heard before caused I and Rose to turn. Caldan, also free, charge at Acheron. Acheron merely floated in the air, out of his reach. From that position he glared down at Caldan like he was a house pest. "Get down here you bastard!" Caldan shook his fist at him, anger all over his face.
"Caldan, that's enough." Lady Nifra said.
He turned to her. "You know this guy? Huh?"
"Yes. I do. Unfortunately. I'm sorry for his behavior, this won't happen again."
"Nifra, you don't need to apologize for me." Acheron said. "It won't happen again? Lies. I will leave this place with Sabrina. And if any of you stand in my way, I will level you."
"Like hell you would!" Lady Nifra snapped. "You better get out of here this instant unless you want a repeat of history."
Acheron came down to the ground. He walked up to Nifra, anger replacing the arrogance in his eyes. "Say that again, Nifra." He hissed through clenched teeth. "You fucking heard me.
"Come here." He snatched her hand and dragged her out of the room.

"I'm fine." I said with a soft sigh. I turned to Rose and smiled. "She helped me.".

"You can leave now." Caldan said to her. She gave me a look of worry before she turned and walked out.
