Sebastian let out a sigh. A sense of ease washed over him. His eyes searched for Kate, and he met her hazel orbs as if she
silently told him she did not betray him. He gave her a nod, and she gave him a weak smile.
“For a moment there, you scared me, Alpha Kieran.” King Henry smiled. He also took a deep breath and turned to Kate. He said.
“Thank you, Kate.”
“All that we ask is for Sebastian to take good care of my daughter,” Alexia said. “We will be arranging regular visits. We have
provided her with a bank account accessible in Vottara, so she can attend to her needs, and we expect regular phone calls from
Kate and Sebastian.”
Sebastian bowed to Alexia, saying, “Understood Luna Queen.”
“So, when will the wedding be?” Alexia asked with a smile.

“Yes, Sir,” Sebastian nodded before getting up from his seat. “Let me lead the way.”
Sebastian took the alpha king of Taplean around the vast halls of the castle and into an open lawn at the back.
Brawnlyn Hold Castle’s garden extended to over an acre. Centuries-old trees provided at leafy canopy on the sides, featuring
vibrant emerald green grass. This perfect carpet. stretched out in all directions, accented by vibrant flowerbeds.
Sebastian and Kieran followed a walking path with their heads held high and arms behind their backs. As they strolled, it was as
if they threatened the trees. The air felt chilly because power exuded from both of them. Sebastian sensed it, and he was sure;
the workers and guards also realized this as their heads were constantly on the ground.
“If you do the same thing that stu pid Xander Baros did to my daughter, I will not hesitate to kill you,” Kieran threatened.
Sebastian sucked in a deep breath. He thought, “They were going to be in a loveless. marriage. Surely, it will not happen to
them. Besides, I will not be marking Kate!
Of course, he did not dare voice out those thoughts. He answered, “I will care for Kate and give he

“I will never think about crossing you,” Sebastian said. “And all this time, while Kate was missing. I had always considered you
my second King, Alpha Kieran.”
“Good.” Kieran sighed and said, “I’m sorry for all the trouble my daughter has given you.”
“She
felt her freedom taken from her, so she made wrong turns,” Sebastian answered. “But I can tell she regretted her decisions. It’s

“Are you taking care of Xander Baros?” Kieran asked.

For the rest of the day, Kate spent her time with her parents. Sebastian did not tag along, hoping to give them private space. He

Kieran told the other alphas, “I will speak to you if you are anything as good as Alpha Sebastian.”
That practically shut them up. Although Sebastian knew jealousy was brewing inside. them, he did not care. He would not let
them affect him, even if they talked behind his back.
Kate, however, noticed the stares from the other alphas. She turned to Sebastian with a smile, saying, “Seby, Honey. I’m sorry I
was out with my parents too long. How was your day today?”

Inwardly, Sebastian growled.
‘Hahaha!’ Zev, sitting next to him, was so entertained, mind linking his laughter.

Kate, however, drank more than she could handle. When Sebastian and Kate returned to their room, Kate carelessly washed,
changed, and climbed on the bed.
While Sebastian slept on the floor with his comforter and pillow, he noticed Kate was restless in bed. He saw her moving from
side to side and blabbering. He reminded. himself, “No werewolf liquor for this woman – Uggh!”
Suddenly, Kate’s heavy frame fell on top of him. She fell off the bed!
“Hmmm,” Kate hummed. “This sure smells nice.”
Kate dropped her head at the crook of his neck and dozed off.
Meanwhile, Sebastian froze. He did not know what to do! He waited for two t minutes before thinking of what to do, ‘Should I
wake her? And risk her tumbling and turning in bed again?
He studied her and felt her arms cozily wrapping around his torso. She even smiled as she slept. “Hmmm.”
Kate’s snowy pine scent engulfed him unexpectedly, lulling him to sleep. Before he knew it, he protectively wrapped his arm
around her waist and... fell asleep with Kate lying on top of his frame.
