Chapter 1215
Chapter 1215
Trisha took Mason to treat his wound, while Celeste went to the police station to give a statement.
After finishing her statement and leaving the police station, Celeste asked about the situation on Trisha’s side via WhatsApp.
Trisha replied, “Mr. Fletcher’s wound seems pretty serious, the nurse took him to get stitches.”
Celeste paused for a moment.
Trisha continued, “Letti, should we get a gift and go see him? After all, we were in the accident together, and he even got
stitches”
“It’s not appropriate to visit a patient at night.” Celeste thought for a moment and said, “I’ll have Liam contact his family. If we
want to visit him, we need to find a suitable time.”
“Do you still want to come over?”
“I won’t come. When his family arrives, you should also go home. We’ll discuss the rest later tonight.”
“Okay”
After finishing with Trisha, Celeste called Liam.
At this time, Liam was sitting in the chairman’s office. Beside him were Clyde Reed and Wesley Reed, and on the couch directly
opposite was Sienna Reed, along with Mr Robinson and Kaylee.
Sienna frowned at her two nephews and said sternly. “You two really disappointed me! Fighting like that in the meeting, isn’t that
embarrassing?”
Liam had no expression.
Clyde looked quite aggrieved, “Mom, this time it’s really Liam who went too far He just shut down those industries. How am I
supposed to explain this to the shareholders? The group doesn’t only belong to the Reed family, we also have to consider the
interests of others, right? Weren’t we the ones supporting the company when the industries he was in charge of hadn’t taken off
yet?”
Sienna nodded and looked at Liam, “Did you hear that? How do you explain suddenly stopping all the industries to the
shareholders?”
Liam slightly raised his head. “Then we’ll shut down two industries each quarter starting with the ones that lose the most, and so
on.”
Sienna nodded, “That’s one way.”
Clyde showed a puzzled expression. He said with a stern face, “Mom, what’s the difference between stopping them now and
stopping them a few months later?”
Sienna looked at him and said, “The difference is, those potential businesses you mentioned will have a few more quarters. If
they can turn a profit, then there will be no need to stop them. The group has to consider the interests of the majority, not the
interests of individual shareholders.”
Clyde clenched his fists, looking upset.
He glanced silently at the poker–faced Liam next to him, took a deep breath, suppressed his anger, and said in a low voice, “If
that’s the case, maybe the board can send some people to supervise Liam’s business. Since we’re all in this together, it should
be open and transparent, so I can explain to the shareholders”
Liam glanced at Clyde, and Owen slightly furrowed his brows.
Their core team members were all Mr. Reed’s men, and the board had tried more than once to send people over, but they were
all rejected by Mr. Reed. Those people, under the guise of supervision, actually had other motives.
Liam’s Smart Chips company that he founded on the side was the envy of many, and if they could get a hold of or even control
some useful information, it would help them in that industry.
Alter Clyde failed to stop the failing industries from being closed down, he took the opportunity to propose this because Sienna
probably wouldn’t refuse, after all, fairness was crucial
Sure enough, as soon as Clyde finished speaking, Sienna asked Liam, “Liam, what do you think?”
Before Liam could answer, his phone rang.
He glanced at it, then looked up and said, “We’ll go with Clyde’s suggestion. I need to take this call.”
Clyde was stunned. Did he agree just like that?
Only Owen had a helpless look on his face. He should at least look more serious.
As soon as he saw Ms Campbell’s call, he just left.
