My Repentant Brothers (Madeline Larson)

Chapter 82

Chapter

There were too many people in the auditorium.

Layla could only walk around. The bunch of flowers in her arms were large and heavy. She could not help but feel frustrated.

As she walked, she began to doubt whether it was actually meaningful to do this.

Fortunately, she was not the only parent holding flowers.

So, she did not look weird.

As she was scurrying around aimlessly, a cold voice sounded. "Hello, everyone. I'm Madeline Larson from Class One of the Faculty of Management."

Layla's footsteps halted, and people's comments sounded around her.

"Wow, this girl is so beautiful, and she's from the Faculty of Management, too!"

"Guys, I'm in love. Damn it, she's so good-looking!"

"You guys only fell for her because of her looks, unlike me. I admire her for her talent!"

"Even 1, a girl, think she's attractive. She must be the campus belle among the freshmen, right?"

Many guys and girls looked at the person on the stage.

Standing under the spotlight, Madeline looked graceful, her slender figure attracting everybody's gazes.

Her features were equally stunning.

There was no trace of awkwardness on her at all.

While people were amazed by her appearance, they also could not help but realize how different people could be.

Layla looked up at the stage and listened to these praises with disdain.

"If this were Winnie, she would also be a beautiful top student! But Madeline is very selfish. It would be the same if Madeline studied for another year, but she just had to ruin future. They are sisters, but she won't let Winnie have her way. What's so bad about working together as sisters?" she thought as she walked backstage.

Someone stopped her. "Who are you?"

I'm Madeline's mother. I came to send her flowers." Layla smiled.

The person looked at Layla, noticing the nice clothes she was clad in.

He figured she was probably not lying.

"Okay, then you can go up when she's finished."

"Thank you." With that, Layla walked up.

The man muttered to himself, "Not only does Madeline have good qualities, but she is also valued by her family. Hmm, but why did that woman look a little familiar?"

Yet, he didn't think of that post on the internet.

Therefore, he didn't notice anything wrong at that moment,

After Madeline finished speaking, there was applause. Chapter 82

A boy cheered, "Madeline, do you have a boyfriend?"

Madeline swept her gaze across the crowd and saw the Larson brothers sitting among the audience, looking very gloomy

She said with a smile, "Sorry. I have no plans of being in a relationship.

Many people were disappointed when she said so.

"How could such a beautiful woman not want to be in a relationship? But I guess that makes sense. She's good-looking and a top student. Maybe she thinks it would be a waste of time to be in a relationship. Who knows?" they thought. Just then, a woman came on stage

"Maddie, congratulations on becoming a university student. I'm really happy for!

It was not strange to present flowers on n this sort of occasion.

Nowadays, parents were more modern.

There was another round of applause from the audience.

you.

However, compared with other freshmen who were happy to receive flowers, Madeline didn't show any hint of joy at

all.

Gavin also stood up and said, "This woman is really interesting. It's good enough that I didn't finish her. How dare she make a show of herself in front of us?"

He clenched his fists, and the sound of joints popping was very loud.

"Some people simply prefer hell over heaven, Caleb scoffed. "Who knows how many times they are willing to die?"

"Don't worry." Nolan curled his right hand into a fist and propped up his face. His gaze was deep and unreadable. "Maddie will handle it by herself. This woman owes Maddie a lot. She's right now just asking for trouble" There was also a photographer on the stage, who enthusiastically went over to take a picture of the mother-and- daughter duo.

Seeing that so many people were watching them, Layla, suddenly had the urge to perform.

She held the flowers and handed them to Madeline. Her eyes looked very sad. "Maddie, it was my bad. I ignored your feelings."

She sighed, still looking sad. "I didn't know you were so important to me until I experienced the misunderstanding and losing you. Maddie, I'm really heartbroken. Can you give me a chance? I'll make it up to you." As Layla spoke, she even felt moved by what she said.

Her tone was eager and sincere.

Even her eyes were red, and her teary eyes twinkled in the light. She looked very emotional.

But both she and Madeline knew that it was only

only an act.

The previous Madeline was too silly and naive to have any expectations toward such family members.

Madeline held the bouquet. It was obvious that the bouquet was simply bought, as it was not even beautiful.

Layla was overjoyed. "Maddie, you forgave me. That's great! Then why don't you come home with me? Your brothers miss you very much. Although your father hasn't said anything recently, he also feels regret." The scheming look in Layla's eyes was too obvious.

If she could bring Madeline back, it would be considered a great job by the Larson family.

As long as Madeline was with the Larson family, then the Larson family would not collapse.

Besides, all the business big shots who were around Madeline would become the Larson family's clients.

The Larson family would rise to the top.

Her husband's recent discontent with her would also be eliminated.

"Huh..." Madeline looked at Layla and said, "What makes you think I will forgive you? Have you forgotten all the things you did to me?"

She plucked a flower petal and then threw the bouquet on the ground without hesitation as though she was throwing garbage.

Then, she also threw away the petal in her hand.

"Layla, don't pretend in front of me. You've never fulfilled your responsibilities as a mother, not even for one day. It's too late and ridiculous to say this now." Layla's eyes widened. 'Madeline, what are you doing?"

She watched the

flowers fall to the ground.

She had carried that bouquet the whole way.

"Even if Madeline resented me, she shouldn't have trampled on my good intentions in public!" she exclaimed internally.

The crowd who were watching the scene also gasped softly.

They

didn't know what was going on.

Layla looked at the bouquet of flowers and felt a little helpless. Her heart was trembling. "Madeline, don't be rude and shameless!"

She had taken the initiative and given Madeline a way to mend the situation. "If she won't accept it, then don't blame me for not respecting her!" she thought,

The main reason why Layla's reaction was so huge was disbelief.

Madeline used to be a coward, but now she didn't care about Layla at all.

"What the hell is going on?" Layla wondered.

"Don't make a fool of yourself. Madeline looked at Layla coldly and spoke in an indifferent tone as if she was talking to a stranger.

After saying that, she turned around and walked off the stage.

She left Layla on the stage alone as though Layla was nothing but a joke.

Layla was ashamed and wanted to leave, but someone stopped her.

"Madarn, please take your belongings away. The person pointed to the bouquet of flowers in the middle of the stage.
