Chapter 45
Chapter

Arabella raised her head and looked into Kenneth's narrow eyes.
Kenneth was sitting on the poker table's main seat, wearing a fine black shirt and black trousers. He was smoking. Scarlet flames were flickering between his slender fingers. He was puffing the smoke. Kenneth had just taken a puff of the cigarette when Randall shouted. Then, he raised his head and looked at Arabella. The smoke obscured his handsome face, but one could vaguely see that he was frowning slightly. After a few seconds, he slowly exhaled the smoke in his mouth.
Arabella was already feeling a little awkward to be pushed into the room, and now that she bumped into Kenneth, she felt even more awkward.
A boss said while laughing, "Mr. Hudson, where did this little beauty come from? Could it be that the most beautiful girl in One Night isn't here yet? Mr. Hudson, you're not treating us close enough. How could you hide such beauty from us?"
It was obvious that these men had regarded Arabella as a bar girl in One Night. In response to this, Randall looked at Kenneth, who was sitting opposite him.
Kenneth had already withdrawn his gaze. He threw one of the cards in his hand with a deep and indifferent expression.
What did that mean?
Arguing?
Giving her a silent treatment?
Pretending not to know the other person?
Randall smiled quietly. "Great, I can witness something interesting again," he thought. Randall wasn't afraid of making things worst. Therefore, he called for Arabella straightforwardly, "You, come quickly and pour us wine. How can you not understand the rules here?"
A portly middle-aged boss reached out and grabbed Arabella's slim arm, "Little beauty, why are you wearing a veil on your face? Seeing that you have a good figure, you must have a beautiful face too. Take off the veil and let the guys see."
The boss straightforwardly went to lift Arabella's veil.
Arabella swiftly avoided his impolite hand. She frowned slightly, "I think you're all mistaken. I am not a bar girl from here. Let go of me!"
"Little beauty, do you know who these people are here? It's not on you to decide whether you really are a bar girl. We'll decide it!"
Arabella remembered the things that the manager had just repeatedly told her. He said this place was full of influential people in Hargrad who she couldn't afford to offend.
Arabella didn't want to get involved in trouble either, but she was so unlucky today for being pushed into this situation.
"Why don't we make a bet? A bet on whether this beauty will look ugly or beautiful like a fairy after taking off the veil."
"Okay, this is interesting. I'll bet on her being ugly. She would've taken off the veil long ago if she really was a beauty. You must know that beauty is a woman's greatest weapon."
"I'll bet that she looks beautiful because this little beauty's body is really... her body is so great that I can't help it, hahaha."
On such occasions, men's conversations were always unrestrained. Arabella was trapped inside and had become a topic among the men.
Arabella was wearing a chic skirt. The skirt's tassel was below her knee, making her look obedient. Her figure was slender and wasn't very curvy. However, she had a graceful and elegant demeanor of an untainted young girl.
Even though Arabella wasn't revealing any part of her body, her beauty was enough to surpass the other beauties who were wearing revealing clothes in the room.
Arabella glanced at Kenneth, who was sitting on the main seat. The man was smoking with his eyelids lowered and was accompanied by beautiful women. He didn't give her a second look. He looked aloof and ruthless.
Even if she were in a predicament, he wouldn't lend a hand to help her.
He treated her like a stranger.
Although Arabella had always hoped to draw a clear line between them, she still felt a lot of pain in her heart.
At this time, the portly boss, who was dragging her, approached to take off her veil again, "Little beauty, the bets are all set. Let us see your face."
"Wait a minute," Arabella said quickly.
The boss paused, "Little beauty, what do you want to say?"
