Chapter 25 A Chance To Escape
Nathaniel Martin P.O.V
Why isn’t she home yet ?
Why aren’t there any new messages from her ? I’ve tried to call her but it’s not reachable.
It’s been three days.
I’m worried sick!
I paced around in my office room, worrying about my youngest daughter.
My wife; mate were no less concerned as I was. I hugged and soothed her saying she’d be fine.
She’s missing.
I led my wife to the bedroom and asked her to take some rest.
I was just about to leave the house and find for her until Zades came by.
“Where are you going ?” He enquired.
“Valentine, it’s been three days. Her phone is dead. I need to find her.” I say hurriedly.
“You won’t find her.” He told.
I looked at him, questioningly.
He sighed.
" I know where she is. She’s with him.” he stated.
“He’ll hurt her.” I hissed in rage.
”Yes, but you and I both know how the bond works, I know she’s still safe. Mates must be with each other.” He reasoned.
I sighed and closed the door back.
“If i see her hurt” I started.
“I’ll see to it and punish him myself. Patience is a virtue.” He stated.
I nodded.
I just hope she’s safe.

“Please move away from me.” I whispered.
He didn’t move.
Instead he raised his head, locking his gaze towards mine.
His mesmerising blue eyes locked upon my boring dark brown almost black ones.
His eyes showed regret.
But I don’t know if those were true.
I could never trust him anymore.
All I know is that in any moment; he could be smirking and mocking me Did you really think I would regret what I did and pity you ?
No one can change in a moment of minutes. It’s impossible and non-viable, especially for someone like him.
He closed his eyes.
Sighing, he got up and walked backwards away from me and opened his eyes back.
He kept running his fingers through his hair before grabbing a fist full of it pulling on it slightly.
“I -I -I I’m s-s sor, no.” He grunted.
He groaned in frustration and quickly unlocked everything before busting out of the room.
His room door was ajar and slowly it was making it’s way to be closed.
My heart began to beat rapidly.
This was my chance, my only chance to get out and escape from here.
I could get caught, but at least it would be a worth of try.
My eyes were glued to the door continuing on his way to get closed while so many thoughts were rushing into my head.
Should I take the chance, risk ?
Suddenly, I was aware of the distance of the closeness. Before it could close, it only about an inch, I ran with my werewolf speed and opened it wide open.
I let out a huge sigh of relief.
I looked back at the room that I was held hostage for so long and looked back ahead.
I have to do this.
He doesn’t want me.
I need my freedom; liberty back.
I want my family back.
I ran.
