Madam, Your Ex-Husband Is On Call

Chapter 179

Chapter 179 Absolutely Sick

After completing a dance, Anastasia was slightly out of breath, but she felt much better.

Jaxon handed her a glass of water. After drinking it, Anastasia glanced around.

"It's about time, right?"

Jaxon smiled, "Shall we head back?"

Anastasia nodded.

They left one after the other.

They were stopped before they could get in the car, they were stopped.

Emma stood there with teary, reddened eyes, looking at them with an expression of grievance.

It seemed to have caught their shady relationship.

Jaxon slightly furrowed his brows, speaking in a cold voice,

"Ms. Patterson, can I help you?"

Emma gritted her teeth. "I tried to meet you, but you avoided me. Do you detest me that much?"

"I'm not close with you, Ms. Patterson. There's no need for us to meet."

Jaxon responded, his voice dipping colder.

Emma choked and said, "But you know I like you. The first time I saw you at the hospital, you..." Something she said seemed to touch a nerve in Jaxon. His eyes became frosty.

"I don't have feelings for you. My heart belongs to someone else."

Jaxon bluntly crushed her hopes.

Emma shuddered, looking like she was about to collapse.

She turned her accusatory gaze to Anastasia, speaking incoherently,

"Is it her? Anastasia is with Chris. Why... what do I lack compared to her? She's even a divorcee!"

Jaxon's brows were furrowed, as if he was displeasure by her rudeness.

He glanced at Anastasia and opened the car door for her.

"Let's go."

Anastasia nodded. She had no desire to stay any longer.

But Emma was clearly provoked, rushed over and grabbed Anastasia's arm, shouting in agitation,

"Anastasia, I've always been good to you. Why are you trying to take him from me? You're already with Chris..."

Anastasia frowned, trying to pull away Emma's hand, but Emma wouldn't let go, pouring all her resentment onto her.

With Emma crying and yelling, everyone at the door looked toward her.

Anastasia was getting annoyed.

Anastasia forcefully pushed Emma away and coolly said,

"Ms. Patterson, get a grip. I didn't take anyone from you, and I'm not involved with Patterson Group anymore. Don't try to morally blackmail me." Her words hit Emma like a slap in the face.

Emma's face was flushed with embarrassment, and seemed to freeze. As Emma tried to speak, Jaxon stepped in front of her.

"Ms. Patterson, you've had drunk. Go home."

Jaxon escorted Anastasia into the car, and he got in the car on the other side. They quickly drove away.

In the car.

Jaxon saw her reluctance to speak and said, "I'm sorry for causing you trouble."

Anastasia teased him, "Mr. Stanford, you sure have luck in a love affair."

Jaxon chuckled, "But there's only one I want to pursue."

With the dim car light, Anastasia replied,

"Mr. Stanford, don't waste time on me, I regard you as a friend."

"Well, from friends to boyfriend, to fiancé, to husband. One step at a time!"

Jaxon laughed with no sign of backing down.

Anastasia had made her position clear, feeling a bit helpless about the situation.

On the next day.

Christian saw photos of Anastasia and Jaxon dancing.

They were closely embraced, their poses intimate, looking deeply into each other's eyes, filled with countless tender emotions.

Tobias couldn't help but remark over the phone,

"Christian, they're saying Jaxon has publicly admitted his feelings for Anastasia. If you don't step up, Anastasia might become someone else's wife!"
