Louis' lips twisted in disdain. "If Angie weren't by your side, I'd have you sleeping on the streets. I've been too kind to you."

Before Chester could respond, Angelina's faint voice broke the tension as she began to wake up.

Louis' eyes

softened instantly, and he rushed toward her bedside. "Angie..."

Before he could reach her, Chester grabbed him by the collar and yanked him back. He dragged Louis to the door and shoved him roughly into the hallway. "Get out!" Chester commanded.

Tears glimmered in Louis' eyes. "Chester, let me see her!"

"Out!" Chester's voice was icy.

"Angie..." Louis' voice trembled as he called her name.

"I've got nothing to say to you," Chester said, his gaze sharp. "The way you look at my wife

crosses a line. It makes me uncomfortable. When I'm uncomfortable, I tend to get violent."

"Chester, you..." Louis tried to speak, but Chester cut him off.

"From now on, we're no longer friends," Chester said, his voice firm and unyielding.

In the past, it was Loius who told Chester that they were no longer friends, that he would hate Chester for the rest of his life and never forgive Chester. At the time, Chester had tried to mend their friendship. Little did he know, Louis had already planned to betray him. Now, Chester understood. There was no point in keeping a friend who coveted his wife. If there had been any hope for their friendship, Louis would have treated Angelina with respect instead of having inappropriate feelings for her. So, Chester told him it was over. When Louis heard Chester's words, he stood frozen, panic flashing in his eyes.

Angelina moved slightly, and a wave of pain shot through her. The pain was so intense that tears welled up in her eyes.

"Angie!" Isadora called out.

"Angie..." Chester said softly.

"What happened to me?" Angelina asked, her voice weak.

"It's a long story. You had some trouble giving birth, but you're okay now," Chester explained.

"My stomach..." Angelina murmured.

"The baby, the baby's here!" Emily hurriedly brought the baby closer for Angelina to see. Angelina's eyes widened as she saw the tiny, red face.

"This is..." Angelina asked.

"Don't you recognize your own baby?" Emily teased gently.

Angelina was the last person to see the baby she gave birth to. She tried to sit up.

Chester quickly closed the door and rushed to her side.

"Angie, don't move. You'll hurt your wound," he said.

"Wound..." Angelina murmured. So that was why it hurt so much.

Reaching out, she realized her body felt both painful and strangely light. She touched the baby's soft, tender cheek.

"The baby.... Is it a boy or a girl?" Angelina asked.

Emily, holding the baby, looked to be in a daze.

Chester took the baby from Emily and cradled her in his arms. "It's a girl," he replied, his voice filled with love. He cooed at the baby, then leaned down to nuzzle Angelina's cheek. Angelina couldn't move much and couldn't even turn over. But Chester's intimate gesture made her blush. A wave of heat rushed to her face, and she could feel her ears burning.

"Has she finished her bottle? Does she want more?" Angelina asked.

"Probably not, but she can have some water," Chester replied, sitting beside Angelina and holding out a bottle of water for his daughter.

Angelina's attention was completely captured by the two of them, her gaze shifting between her daughter and Chester. Noticing the bloodshot look in his eyes, she asked, "What time is it? How long have I been asleep?" "Not long, Angie. You can sleep a little longer if you want," Isadora said gently.

"I've decided. Let's name her Catherine. Catherine Whitmore. What do you think?" Chester suggested.

Angelina frowned at the name. "Catherine? It's not really my style."

"Yeah, it's not what I'd choose either," Emily added.

Isadora, on the other hand, thought the name Catherine Whitmore was fine. Catherine was a classic name, and the nickname Catie was adorable. However, Angelina's and Emily's reactions made her feel she couldn't argue much. "Yeah, it's... not really my favorite either," Isadora said, clearing her throat.
