Hunter: Chapter 10
Hunter felt her body finally relax in his arms. He fought the rage rising up inside at what that fucker did to her. But now, he felt something else as she leaned back finally and gazed up at him. He wanted to kiss her and suddenly found himself doing just that. The taste of her hit his blood instantly, just like before. He held her tight as he took her mouth once again. His body grew hard all over. Damnit, he wanted her in the worst way.
She was pressing herself up against him, and moaning into his mouth while wrapping her arms around his neck.
It all just felt so right and he knew Sinner was correct. This was the woman for him. But he knew he had to take it slow, she’d had a rough time of it lately and he intended to just take care of her, not take advantage of her. The kiss went on as they both explored each other.
A loud knock came on his door and they both stopped ad pulled apart.
Hunter gazed into those blue orbs of hers for a moment. Setting her back up against the pillows, the loud knock became more insistent. “Just a damn minute!” he called to the door. Rising from his bed, he strode over and yanked it open. “What in the Fuc…”
Standing there was Bearcat and Phoenix.
Bearcat raised his brows at Hunter’s yelling. “Uh… She wanted to bring Sabrina some food?” He motioned his head at the woman standing next to him.
Phoenix leaned forward and peered in. “Is she here?”
Hunter stepped back. “Come in.”
Phoenix pushed by him holding a tray. “Oh, Sabrina. My God!” She set the tray down and then turned to her Aunt. “I was so damn scared.” She reached down and took Sabrina’s hand.
Hunter turned his head back to look at Bearcat. “So did you guys get it all cleaned up?”
Bearcat nodded. “We did and just in time as a Sheriff came up from the interstate.”
“Where’s Sinner at?” Hunter wanted to know.
“Well, that’s just the thing.” Bearcat looked puzzled. “He went up the county road. Called me on the blue and said he wanted to check something out?”
Hunter paused. “How long ago was that?”
Bearcat shrugged. “Maybe 20 minutes or so?”
“Ok, well you text me in 30 if he doesn’t call or show up.” He turned to look over at Sabrina and Phoenix.
“Man, is she okay?” Bearcat asked.
Hunter turned back to him. “Taz says she is, just gotta watch her so she doesn’t sleep for a couple of hours.”
“So…” Bearcat started.
Hunter narrowed his eyes on him. “So what?”
“She’s in your room man. You don’t even allow Bunnies in here.”
Hunter knew where this was headed. “She’s mine.”
Bearcat’s eyes widened.
“Yeah, so end of asking. Got it?”
Bearcat who was a big man larger than them all, nodded his head as he knew Hunter could possibly take him down with his skills. “Wow man.”
Hunter actually agreed with him on this. He never thought… “Yeah, wow.”
Phoenix finally kissed Sabrina’s cheek. “I’ll be back in the morning, K?”
Sabrina smiled then winced. “Thank you.”
“No, you see I thought I was alone in the world. Well, I mean I had Moon, but…Now, I have you? Don’t thank me. I’m just so glad you are all right.” She got up and walked to the door then she paused to stare at Hunter. “Thank you for going after her.”
He nodded.
She leaned in close and whispered firmly, “But you better be a gentleman.”
Bearcat stifled a laugh.
Hunter gave him a glare, then leaned in close to Phoenix. “I am claiming her, Phoenix. So…”
Her eyes rounded. “What?”
He nodded.
She looked stunned at this statement, then she went out the door.
Hunter was glad to be rid of them both. He sure as hell didn’t want to have to explain to anyone else that he was in fact, claiming Sabrina as his. For one thing, she didn’t even know it yet. He walked back over and looked down at her.
She was gazing down at the tray. It was a sandwich and a cup of soup.
“Aren’t you hungry?” he asked.
“Not really. My stomach is still sort of tied in knots.”
He reached down and took the soup cup, grabbing the spoon. “I at least, want you to eat the soup. You haven’t had any food for a long while by my calculations and you’ve got aspirin in an empty stomach.” He sat on the edge of the bed, dipped the spoon into the soup, and raised it to her lips.
Sabrina stared at him then down at the spoon and back up to his face. “Are you really taking care of me? I mean like a nurse or something?”
He grinned and pushed the spoon to her lips. “Or something…”
She wrapped her mouth around the spoon and took in the warm soup.
Hunter was watching her and imagining her lips wrapped around his—he sat up straighter then dipped the spoon again, raising it to her lips.
She shook her head but took another spoonful.
After the cup was mostly empty, he smiled. “That’s good enough for now. Maybe in a couple of hours, you’ll feel like eating the sandwich.” He handed her the coke and got up to set the tray on the counter above his mini fridge.
Turning around to walk back, he caught her staring at him. He paused. “What is it?’
Sabrina shook her head and her cheeks went pink.
He cocked his head at her. “Were you checking me out just now?’
She bit at her lip and took a small sip of her coke. “Yeah, I was,” she admitted.
He grinned. “Well, good.”
She raised her brows, her cheeks pink as could be. “What?”
He moved to the bed and stood over her. So here I go. “I want…” His voice dropped away. “I intend to…” again, he stalled out. What the fuck, Hunter, just say it already. “I want to claim you.”
Her eyes grew huge in her face. “What does that mean?”
Oh man, this was going to be harder than he thought. “In an MC… well, it means I want you to be mine.”
Her eyes remained rounded and her mouth popped open in shock.
Finally, he laughed at her expression as he reached down, took her coke and set it aside. Then he grabbed her up and lifted her clean away from the bed. Looking into her eyes, he whispered close to her lips, “It means I want to have you. In all the ways there is. And maybe some new ones.”
Her breathing had picked up and she did nothing but stare into his eyes as her body trembled in his grasp.
“Ok, I can see you may not get it,” he said then he paused as a thought occurred to him. “Do you want me too?”
Her face again went rosy as she gulped and then licked her lips. “I do. I can’t describe what you make me feel, but I know I want you too.”
Hunter relaxed and let out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. He kissed her lips softly. Then pulling away, he set her back down on the bed.
Looking a bit lost, Sabrina stared up at him.
He propped her pillows and set her up against them.
She kept staring.
“What?” he finally asked.
“So, are we going to—ummm…”
He chuckled. “Dammit but you are cute. But no… You have a head injury, as well as the injury from the shrapnel Sabrina.”
“So? I’m fine. The doctor even said—”
“No.” Hunter rounded the bed. “We will be…” He paused trying to think of a safe activity. “We’ll watch some TV for a bit.
“What?” she asked in disbelief.
Sitting on the chair, he took his boots off, then stood. He looked around. “Where is that damn thing?”
“What thing?” she asked in a confused voice.
“The remote.”
“Oh… it’s over there.” She pointed at the table by the window.
Hunter strode over and grabbed it up. He came back and got in bed next to her.
Sabrina simply stared at him. “You were serious?”
He nodded then tapped the remote. “I hope you like cowboy movies?”
Laughter broke out next to him.
He looked over.
Nodding, Sabrina replied, “Do you have any John Wayne?”
He raised his brows. “How do you even know who that is?”
Shrugging, she replied, “My dad liked him.”
Hunter wrapped an arm around her and searched for Angel And The Badman. Cause it sure would be the movie to watch right about now.
