CURSE OF THE MOON REBORN

“What are you talking about?” Solara came up from behind them.

“Abstinence,” Stephan mumbled.

“From what humans?”

“No sex.” He growled.

“What?” Solara’s startled look shifted between Kayla and Stephan.

“Not for you babe, for sure shot over here. If he keeps getting Scarlet pregnant we will never have any peace.” Kayla urged on.

“That’s a relief.” Solara sighed.

“What is? Scarlet not getting pregnant?” Stephan asked.

“No, that the abstinence topic is about you and not me.”

“Wow, you are such a good friend. How about you practice that and get your crazy wife off my case.” Stephan doubled back towards the room, his hands over his ears despairingly trying to keep out whatever Kayla was saying.

“Why would you tell him that? You know he can’t abstain he is a guy. No matter how powerful an immortal is, whenever it comes to sex we are just as weak as the humans.” He drew his wife into his arms and planted feathery kisses around her face.

“I was just trying to get his mind off his troubles. I didn’t mean what I said. I think he and Scarlet should have more kids.” She snuggled into his chest.

“We won’t have any more room at the rate they are going.”

“We could always expand the house. Build a new wing. We will call it baby land.” She chuckled.

“Hey, I want you to know that I’m sorry for taking that away from you.”

“Don’t worry about it.”

Solara always saw how her eyes lit up whenever she and Scarlet would discuss the baby. She was excited about it and part of him loathed himself from taking that sparkle in her eye for her children.

“You are too good to me, you know that right?”

“I love you, I have to be good to you. It’s by default, not a choice.”

“Thank you anyway.” He used the tip of his finger to lift her face to his. Bending his knees slightly to get his lips on hers, slowly he leaned down to kiss her then froze.
