Chapter 234 Making It Official

They lay in bed for more than an hour before Dominic was fully awake. He hadn't been able to sleep ever since Bella woke him up.

He bit her lip punishingly. "Didn't you have enough last night?"

She moved back before covering his mouth with her hands, refusing to let him continue kissing her. "I've had enough, so stop it. I need to get up as 1 have to head over to the hospital for my shift later."

He listened to her obediently and lay there quietly as she began to clean herself up. She freshened up and changed her clothes,

She couldn't help but laugh when she turned around to look at him. She was still using her pink bed sheets, but didn't he have a good sleep last night? Didn't he say he would never sleep on her pink covers?

Although he wasn't sure what she was laughing at, he smiled along with her and said, "You seem to be in a good mood today. Is it because I'm home?" Bella was stubborn and denied it, "That's not it. I'm always like this, even when you aren't here. Your presence doesn't affect me at all."

Dominic immediately dropped his smile. "Is that so? If I had known, then I wouldn't have worked so hard to rush home..."

Bella didn't hear him clearly. "What did you say?

He got up, and the sheets slid down his body, showcasing his firm chest. "It's nothing. I'll get ready too so that we can leave together. I'll head to the company, and you can head over to the hospital. I'll pick you up after work and bring you out for dinner, What do you want to eat?"

Bella gave it some thought before saying, "Let's go for some Yalnian cuisine. It's been a while since I had that."

Dominic seemed to agree as amusement filled his eyes. "Are you hoping for a romantic evening with me?" She stuck her tongue out and said, "Who wants a romantic dinner with you? I'm not even your girlfriend now."

He immediately got down from the bed and immediately walked

up to her.

He hugged her tightly and said, "Are you going back on your word? You've been my girlfriend for a long time now. You can't escape now." Bella said jokingly, "Oh, really? Do you dare to announce it to everyone? I won't go back on my word if you dare to do so." She didn't think he would do it, so she was just joking about it.

He didn't say a word as he let go of her and went to the bedside to take his phone before typing away.

She thought he had chickened out. Although she had only been joking, she still felt a twinge of disappointment. She headed downstairs herself.

Lia suddenly called her while she was eating. Bella answered the phone, ate a spoonful of carbonara, and asked in confusion, "What is it?"

Lia sounded extremely excited as she asked, "Did you and Dominic decide to make things official?"

Bella was confused. "What are you talking about?"

Lia asked her to look at her Instagram, and she tapped on the app nervously. She immediately saw Dominic's new post.

There weren't any captions paired with the photos, but there were a total of three photos. One of her, one of him, and one of them holding hands. Furthermore, she had never seen the photos before.

A wave of emotions surged through her heart, and she had to calm herself down. Suddenly, she remembered that this post wasn't a public announcement or anything. What if he had set it so that only a select few could see his post?

Bella ended the call and pretended that nothing had happened. Then, she made her way to the hospital after she was done eating.

Just after she completed surgery and left the operating rooms, the people around her looked at her with a weird gaze

She felt slightly uncomfortable and pulled aside a colleague she was slightly familiar with and asked, "What's happening? Why are they looking at me like that? Their gazes feel weird..."

Her colleague exclaimed, "Don't tell me you don't know yet? I'm so envious that you're able to marry rich. You've been doing a good job of hiding it. I never thought you'd manage to win Dominic over. I guess what they say is true. Being close does give you a better chance."
