CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1138

"Not a chance," Lisa snapped, her agitation causing the pliers to nick Nina's neck. Blood trickled down, and the onlookers gasped in horror.

"Well, then I can't agree to your demands. Do whatever you want," Nash said, pulling out his phone, pretending to call the police, though his eyes never left Lisa. He was ready to act the moment she made a move. Lisa hesitated, realizing too late that she should have acted when she first entered the room. The arrival of the hospital director only added to her unease.

"Lisa, what are you doing? Let her go!" the director pleaded, trying to approach her. But Lisa pulled Nina closer and backed toward the window.

Nina, sensing the danger, spoke softly, "You can still stop this. Once the police get here, it will be too late to turn back."

"Think about your parents," the director added, hoping to appeal to her sense of reason.

Nash quietly inched closer, but Lisa noticed and panicked. "If you come any closer, I'll do it!" she screamed, tightening her grip on Nina.

With desperation in her voice, Lisa looked at Nash and said, "Mr. York, I want you to remember me. I truly love you. Please, don't forget me." She then tried to drag Nina towards the window, intent on jumping. But Nina wasn't going to let that happen. With a quick move, she grabbed Lisa's arm and pulled away, running toward Nash.

Lisa stumbled, crashing into the wall, where she was immediately restrained by two bystanders until the police arrived to take her away.

After the incident, Nash stayed by Nina's side, refusing to leave her for a moment. Meals were delivered by Julia, and Nash ensured nothing else would go wrong. A week later, Nina was finally discharged.

As they prepared to leave the

hospital, Julia clung to Nina's hand with a worried look. Sensing her mother's concern, Nina reassured her, "Mom, anytime you miss me, just call. I'll have someone come and get you."

Julia wiped away a tear. "I just worry about you and the baby with everything that's been happening."

Nina exchanged a glance with Nash, who cleared his throat. "We've finished the discharge paperwork. Why don't you both come back with us and stay for a while?"

"No, we've got chickens and ducks to tend to at home," Zion replied, not wanting to burden them. He figured it was better to focus on raising food for Nina during her recovery.

At the hospital entrance, they said their goodbyes. Nina watched her parents walk away, feeling a pang of sadness.

Nash wrapped his arm around her and whispered, "Once you're feeling better, we'll visit them and stay as long as you want."

"Yeah, that's the plan," Nina agreed, though the farewell still weighed on her heart.

Back home, Pharaoh had prepared all of Nina's favorite dishes. But during dinner, Nash received a call from Quincy, and his expression turned serious as he stepped aside to take it.

Noticing his demeanor, Pharaoh frowned and said, "He's too busy. Nina, maybe you should come back with me. That way, he can focus on work without worrying about you getting hurt by all this chaos

"Father, I don't want to be apart from him. We were separated for five years. Life is too short for more time apart, and I don't want any more regrets," Nina replied.

She had no choice before, but now that she could choose, she would choose to stay by Nash's side. Despite everything that had happened, they had overcome it all together.

Pharaoh sighed, "I'm not saying you wouldn't see him. He could come visit whenever he's free. But think about it. Being with me would be safer than staying here."
