Chapter 904
"I've gotten what I want. As for the rest, they mean nothing to me. If the others want it, they can take it. Let's put this aside for now!"
He didn't mind about the property whatsoever. The most important thing was to get the antidote first.
Frederick sneered as he realized something. His family's arrival was oddly at the perfect timing. It seemed that Penny and Danica weren't going to give up on inheriting the family's property. Their intentions were far more disgusting to him. People like them would never change!
The ring on Frederick's hand was removed and replaced with another ring, which Chet took from a small box.
Their eyes met and Frederick said, "Let's go. I'm afraid there might be some hard work for you in the next few days."
"I understand."
Soon, both of them walked to the other side.
Alicia had been lightheaded along the way. She had no idea what had happened when she found herself on the train. She simply followed those who got off the train in a daze. Staring blankly at nowhere, she stood at the platform for another while.
When she finally awoke from her trance and lifted her head, two big words came into her sight... Buranda.
She rubbed her eyes hard and looked around. "Why am I here?"
Taking out the tickets from her pocket, Alicia couldn't help but palm her forehead. "Bayton City?"
Unbelievably, she didn't even realize she was taking the train that headed towards the opposite direction of Bayton City. Her mind was truly in a mess. Buranda?
Fragments of scattered memories were suddenly pieced together in her mind, turning Alicia's eyes red.
Pulling her suitcase, she turned around and walked to the exit on the other side.
Although nobody asked for Alicia's ticket for inspection on the way, she had to buy herself the correct ticket to Buranda near the exit to leave the station. She went straight to the hotel where she had stayed last time. Luckily, she booked the exact same room she stayed in with Frederick previously. The memories remained vivid in her mind. When she opened the door, her tears rolled down her cheeks again.
Leaning against the door, she sagged wearily on the floor. "Why? Why on earth is this happening?"
[Honey, you won't leave me, right?]
[Ally, bear in mind that I'll always love you, no matter how the time changes!]
[Feel my heart with yours. I believe that you will understand with your intelligence!]
[Ally, if I could turn back the time, I would suffer the most tormentful pain rather than finding you in anyone else. I almost lost you once.]
[Promise me not to let go of each other easily unless our relationship is broken, okay? Not only we shall have a cooling-off period for one year, but we shall also not make it legitimate if any of us enters a new relationship in one year's time for the other to accept the fact we've broken up... Since you promised me one year, I will add another one year so that it's fair for both of us!]
[Deal, two years. Let's pinky swear.]
[Ally, I'm serious about my words. I'll fulfil my promise no matter how long it takes. Always remember that I love you.]
Those sweet memories were still lingering around the room. However, sadly, good times never lasted long. Memories in Buranda that kept coming to Alicia's mind stopped her from crying.
Perhaps there was some other meaning in his words. She thought that those touching words were nothing more than the words themselves the last time she heard. However, this time, she questioned the hidden messages in his words. "...I will understand with my intelligence?"
Alicia's doubt arose as she went on whispering to herself, "Is his unusual behavior a preview of what's happening next?"
What was he trying to keep her away from?
Alicia perked up from the floor. She bit her fingers and shook her head while pacing back and forth in the room. "Calm down, Alicia, calm down. Which is the real one?"
Both his stone-cold face at the wedding and his loving face were stuck in Alicia's head. She walked around non-stop in the room for a long while.
Her thoughts became entangled. Both Frederick's faces looked absolutely different yet conflicted with each other. Alicia curled up on the sofa and banged her head hard. "Which one is the truth?"
What did he hide from her? Why did Danica send her the message? The day's wedding was such a grand ceremony! Looking at the jasmine flowers at the wedding venue, he must have put his heart and mind into planning the ceremony... At last, with chaos in her mind, Alicia collapsed onto the sofa and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Frederick used Alicia's intrusion on their wedding as an excuse to go to Danica's house after the ceremony, instead of staying in the hotel he had booked.
The surveillance cameras in front of the safe were quite obvious, but he wasn't sure if there was any cat's eye hidden somewhere unnoticeable. Therefore, he tried to look less unwilling when he entered through the door.
Sitting on the sofa, Danica had taken a shower and prepared some red wine. She looked very stunning after dressing up. The entire space was even well-scented.
"Frederick, no, my dear, cheers to our married life! I'm so happy today!"
She picked up two glasses and poured some red wine. Then, she handed him a full glass of wine. "Let's drink!"
Frederick felt bothered by this
suggestion since they'd already
done this at the wedding, but he still drank with Danica. Yet, he kept
repeating to himself that all he was doing was just an act. He even secretly begged for forgiveness for his lies.
He didn't suspect the wine and finished it.
Though Danica couldn't drink much, she was very pleased by Frederick's behavior and she drank half a glass of wine, surprisingly. She smiled while flinging her arms around his neck. "I'm your woman, at last won't have any regrets in my life after tonight. Let's take a shower, what do you say?"
As soon as she finished her words, Frederick grabbed her waist and replied, "You smell so nice. What did you put on?"
He lowered his head and gently nibbled her neck. He seemed to be turned on but his expression was icily cold. Looking at Frederick, Danica slowly lowered her guard and giggled. She clearly felt that he was burning with desire from the inside!
However, she didn't realize that Frederick's reaction was merely due to the elemental drive of a man!
Even though Frederick tried to stay calm, his selfcontrol had its own limits. He wanted to end this as soon as possible but without raising doubts in her mind.
Refusing to kiss her, he decided to bewitch her by drawing her attention to his hand movements. He shucked her out of her thin piece of pajamas like a hot-blooded lecher. He couldn't do anything more disgusting than this.
Danica didn't know much about how
Frederick treated women in bed as this was her first night with him. Although he wasn't gentle enough, in Danica's eyes, his rude manner in bed somehow displayed his high enthusiasm in her, which really drøve her to ecstasy. She closed her eyes very soon.
"Frederick..."
