Alpha’s Rejected Second Chance Mate by Pradeep

Theo’s P.O.V.

I am still not convinced about your going inside the coven, love. This is too dangerous,” I whispered in a worried tone while looking towards the direction. of The Royal Coven. “Don’t worry, my love… Nothing will happen to us.” She comforted me in a nonchalant tone as if it were nothing but a child’s play.

“We have to trust her on this, but let’s not down our guards,” Thunder said in a serious tone, making me take a deep breath. “How can you trust a vampire so easily?” I asked her in the same worried tone, but I was still agitated by the fact that she approached a vampire and bribed him to take Adam out of the dungeons. I was still having a hard time that I came here to rescue that b****d.

“I don’t know what she is thinking, but I will kill him if he does anything to hurt Crystal or you,” Alpha Adrian muttered in an angry tone, but I could feel his worry in his voice. He was still angry with Adam, but he was his son after all. “Let’s think about later, Dad. We have incomings,” she interrupted us in a hush tone while gluing her eyes in a particular direction.

I also followed her gaze and narrowed my eyes when I some silhouettes at a far distance. She sniffed while lowering her head as if she was trying to get the whiff of their scents. “Mask your scents. The wind is about to change,” she instructed immediately in a hushed tone. All of us immediately masked our scents. We had a few warriors from The Night Crawl Pack too who was also hybrids but different from what Marcus had.

“Damn it,” she cursed and I looked in her direction with concern. “I…. I forgot th.. that their blood is tempting to me,” she said while licking her l*ps and I could see thirst in her eyes. “You have to control your urges, love,” I immediately comforted her in a warning tone though.

“I will try… but… but… I am still learning to… to,” she paused and gulped hard. I snapped my head in the same direction and sucked a breath when I saw five vampires patrolling the border. I wrapped my hand around her shoulder to keep her flying towards them. It could put everyone’s lives in risks. She was now breathing heavily while looking at them hungrily.

“Focus on other things, Crystal. You are better than this,” Alpha Adrian suddenly instructed her in a stern tone. She nodded and took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. “Release some strength to her through the mate

bond, Thunder,” I instructed Thunder in a serious tone. “On it,” he immediately confirmed my command in a serious tone. I kept on making small circles on her arm to keep her calm.

“When will he signal?” I asked her in a hushed tone after some time when her breath went even once again. “Any time now,” she answered me in a calm tone this time. I nodded and looked towards the patrollers once again. “Remember the instructions…. Don’t kill anyone unless their presence become a threat. Try to inject them with the serum first to make them unconscious instead of killing them,” she instructed everyone once again with a calm tone.

The scientist in Nelson’s pack had invented a serum that could make a vampire unconscious for a few hours. It was amazing though that they built this scrum by extracting a compound from vampire serum that Marcus gave Nelson all these years. They didn’t experiment it on the vampires yet. So, we decided to use those serum injections tonight to test them too. We didn’t know the side effects, and it wasn’t our worry though.

“He is coming… but,” she suddenly said in a hurried tone, but paused and sniffed harder. “Damn it… we have to enter now,” she cursed once again and looked at me. I nodded and cracked my n*eck on both the sides before mind- linking all the warriors including the warriors from Nelson’s pack, a perk being the mate of a special wolf.

“Everyone now on the command of your Luna,” I instructed them in an alpha tone. “Yes, alpha,” they immediately confirmed my command in unison. “Let’s go,” she said in a hushed tone but using her authority as their Luna. She summoned all the warriors from Nelson’s pack to make a defense line in front of us with her as they could fight a combat with hybrids better than us if needed. The good thing was that all of them could feed on vampire’s blood to keep them alive.

She crawled forward on the ground without making any sound. I was right beside her and Alpha Adrian was also on the other side. He refused to stay behind in the line. His protectiveness towards Crystal was always amusing for

On her signal, a few hybrid warriors immediately jumped high to get on a tree in front of us. Four of our warriors also climbed the tree as silently as they could. “I am still saying that we don’t need to put our lives in danger for him,” Alpha Adrian muttered again.

“We don’t… Dad… but we can’t leave someone dear to us at his mercy, right?” she once again defended Adam but it rose jealousy inside my heart. “I know what he did wrong but we can’t forget that he was not that ambitious or scheming earlier. I don’t know what changed him so much, but he deserves at change,” she continued and a low growl erupted from my throat. unconsciously.

“Stop being jealous, Theo. He is nothing but a past friend to me now,” she immediately scolded me in a hush tone. “Now let me focus on him. It seems that his escape didn’t go unnoticed,” she said and continued crawling on the ground, taking advantage of the darkness of the night. I didn’t know why did. she asked us to wear black, but I had this idea now that she wanted to take advantage of the darkness by this.

“On three… attack all the patrollers. Inject them first and if they don’t faint, kill them,” she instructed everyone once again as soon as we reached the border. Suddenly all the patrollers moved towards us and tried to find our location through the darkness of the night. They were known as the night–crawlers and it was easy for them to see through the darkness.
