After I Let Go My Alpha He Knelt in Regret

Chapter In Regret Novel 105

Chapter 89

Lorik's POV

The Arizona luxury clubhouse buzzed with laughter and the clinking of glasses. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting a warm glow over the room filled with elegantly dressed women and men enjoying their night out. Soft music played in the background, blending seamlessly with the conversations and the occasional burst of laughter. The air was thick with the scent of expensive perfume and the rich aroma of fine whiskey.

I sat alone on the plush sofa, my mind restless. Despite the lively atmosphere around me, I felt a owing irritation bubbling inside. The room was filled with beautiful women, their smiles and laughter a stark contrast to the storm brewing within me. I took a slow sip of my wine, the deep red liquid leaving a bitter taste on my tongue.

A stunning woman approached me, her dress shimmering under the lights. She flashed a bright smile, her eyes sparkling with interest. But for some reason, I couldn't muster any attraction. I pushed her gently away, trying to mask the confusion and frustration I felt. She looked hurt, her smile faltering. "Is everything okay?" she asked softly.

Ignoring her, I placed my wine glass back on the coffee table with a deliberate clink. Rising from the sofa, I glanced around the room, searching for Panther. "Entertain them, fulfill all requests. I'll go first," I instructed, my voice firm.

Panther, my loyal Beta, nodded respectfully. "Yes, Alpha. Please take your time."

The women around me greeted me warmly, their eyes lingering a moment too long. They made their

way to the dance floor and the bar, leaving me alone once more. I sighed, feeling the weight of loneliness despite the crowd.

As I made my way toward the dimly lit hallway, my irritation simmered. The hallway was quieter, the lights softer, offering a brief respite from the chaos of the main room. That's when I saw him-Maurice. He was engaged in a conversation with another man, but his gaze was fixed on me.

The moment our eyes met, his eyebrows furrowed, and he walked over with a purposeful stride.

"What are you doing here?" he demanded, his voice sharp.

I met his gaze, unflinching. "None of your business. Don't come near me."

His eyes narrowed, anger simmering beneath the surface. "You're Shirley's Alpha, and you're Spending your time in a place like this. Aren't you afraid she'll leave you again?"
